Spyro's Adventure

I'm currently playing Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure again for any remaining achievements and to look at my figure collection. Here's an overview of the complete figures for the game.

32 core figures for the game. I have them all.

As listed on skylanderscharacterlist, I have all but four of the 13 magic items. I have all the Legendries: Bash, Chop Chop and Spyro but not Dark Spyro (somehow in that catagory). Variants include 5 sidekick mini figures, but I don't have any of those (they're cute and I want them). I have no Chase Variants and definitely no flocked chase variants. No flocking, please!

Ones I'm using now for the remaining achievements are:

Stealth Elf for her speed.

Gil Grunt for one achievement where you have to beat all of Kaos's minions in the boss battle of a specific level with only his water cannon attack. It's harder than it sounds because Gil Grunt isn't fast and he has to hold position while he fires the water cannon.

Zook for his relentless power when fully leveled (and I have already). I hope to use him to beat Kaos in the final boss fight without swapping characters for an achievement.

Drobot series 1 figure (I used a different version for the Giants game) for his super fast laser eye attack. I don't have this version of him leveled fully yet, but if Zook fails, I'll train him up for the big fight and see what I can do.

I've been using some magic items but most have a time limit like the Winged Boots which greatly increase speed. The time limit ruins its usefulness in my opinion.

Only the Hidden Treasure is continually useful to me for some extra gold used in buying new abilities.

All magic items can be added to the portal alongside your chosen Skylander.

Additionally, I've been using the Spyro's Adventure Portal of Power. Each one is a little different and not exactly necessary since, I think, they all work with any Skylanders game (but not on any console. They are either Xbox specific or PS/Nintendo specific - I have one for the non-Xbox systems). I like seeing the original patterns linked to the game they were made for and the way they light up when plugged in. Psychedelic man!

This will be the last Skylanders game I play on Xbox 360 as the later ones were released for the next gen systems. There are still versions of the other 4 games for Gen 7 systems, but I'm sticking to the console I played them on originally. If I max out the achievements on any one of them, though, I may replay one on a different system for another set of achievements, trophies or whatever you get on Nintendo systems (i.e. nothing).

In one of your other blogs you asked if I had links to my other Skylanders reviews. Here is a link to Skylanders Imaginators, the last game they did. In that review I have links to previous games in the series if you want to see those. Can't believe it was 2016 since the last game. They had a new game come out every year since 2011!

Imaginators was my least favorite of them, but I will revisit it and see if my views have changed. Thanks for the links!

I could never get into these kinds of games but it's cool that you have all (or nearly all) of the things for this game. Do these figures and items work for all the games in the series?

I believe you can use any of the older figures on newer games but not the other way around.
