Got another batch of game reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com.  Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  OK let’s begin!

Kirby Air Riders King Dedede and Tank Star amiibo

I got another Kirby Air Riders amiibo recently.  This time it’s King Dedede on a Tank Star!  It’s also probably one of the largest amiibo figures yet!  King Dedede is a big boy!  So let’s take a look at it!

70s Style Robot Anime Geppy-X (Switch)

Even though I was born in the mid to late 70s, I did watch a lot of older anime in the 80s when I was a kid.  Shows like Speed Racer, Star Blazers, Voltron, Battletech, and others.  But what if you combined the style and animations of these old cartoons and put them in a 2D horizontally side scrolling giant robot shooter, complete with intro and outro credits and theme songs, previews for the next episode, and even toy commercials?  Well you’d get Geppy-X, that’s what!  Originally released on the PlayStation only in Japan back in 1999, you can now play it on modern consoles (reviewed on Switch here).

Captain Soda (Switch)

One of my favorite kinds of games are ones where you run around mazes chasing after things or running away from things.  That’s why Pac-Man is still my number one favorite game of all time.  Other games in this category I like sometimes have more platforming elements, like Bubble Bobble (another one of my all time favorites).  So I was pleasantly surprised when reviewing Captain Soda, as it reminds me a lot of Bubble Bobble, Guzzler, and other games of that ilk.  In this one you play as a soda bottle with a cape as you blow bubbles and other fizzy attacks at baddies in this single screen arcade style action game.

Parking Garage Rally Circuit (Switch)

If you’ve ever wanted to race around parking garages all over the US (and Europe if you get the DLC), then Parking Garage Rally Circuit is for you.  Race around parking garages in all sorts of locations in this silly throwback racer that feels like a PSOne game!

Rat Protocol (PS4)

A lab rat undergoes experimentations and becomes super smart.  Now you must help the rat navigate through maze puzzles in a science laboratory in Rat Protocol.  It’s a Sokoban style block pushing puzzle game.

Clarity: The Seven Demons of Vanguardia (PS4)

A boy and his father live happily in a cabin in the woods.  But one day a bad guy that looks like a cross between Skeletor and Dr. Doom just busts through their door and kills the dad for no reason.  So now the son takes up a sword to take revenge.  This game is a 2D side scrolling hack and slash where you fight six boss demons in themed areas like Wind, Wood, Ice, Poison, Fire, etc.

Grand Vegas Casino (PS4)

Enjoy a collection of casino classics with Grand Vegas Casino.  This lets you play Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, and three kinds of Slots.

Quack Quack Attack (Mobile)

Aliens are invading and it’s up to a group of ducks to lay explosive eggs on them!  Quack Quack Attack is a free-to-play game that’s like a cross between Peggle and Puzzle Bobble.

And that’s all for now! Thanks for reading my reviews and posting ‘likes’ and comments on them. I do appreciate it.  Later!  --Cary

I want that Kind Dedede on a Tank Star. I have the earlier one and I like it a lot.

I'd give Quack Quack Attack a try if it came to consoles.

I doubt Quack Quack would come to consoles. It's not very good anyway.

Oh well.

Despite the weak gameplay, I think I would enjoy Geppy X just for how hard it commits to the bit. I'll stick it in the ol' wishlist and wait for a sale.

Yeah I just looked up the price of Geppy-X. Better wait for a sale.
