Today, it's 1988. What are we playing today?

Perhaps Go to the Arcade?

Altered Beast - "Rise from your grave". I like the visuals and the transformations in this game but it's kind of difficult. Not impossible though, just a lot of replays to master.

Ordyne - I love those cute 'em ups like TwinBee from '85. I could replay this one many more times than Altered Beast.

Splatterhouse - I'm not great at this, but it's worth replaying because it has a look I like and some interesting and meaty melee.

Or How About A PC Game?

I would be into the first DnD Gold Box RPG game Pool of Radiance on my Mac Plus. Or maybe check out that new Madden Football. That'll never last as a series.

Perhaps a Console Game?

The NES has Metal Gear, Jackal, Super Mario Bros 2, Legend of Zelda 2 and Castlevania 2. That's a lot of sequels that might be good.

However, the Sega Master System has a new RPG called Phantasy Star I'm excited to try.

A Board or Card Game?

DragonLance has a board game out, or read one of the 9 novels out right now. Read?

Or a TV Show or Film?

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers is on as well as this new show Mystery Science Theater 3000. What a strange idea to talk over B-movies, but I'm interested. "Robot roll call!"

Or a comedy film like Beetlejuice, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, A Fish Called Wanda, Scrooged or Naked Gun? Maybe action is appealing with Die Hard, Midnight Run, or They Live? Fantasy with Willow? Or perhaps it's fun to get creeped out with Dead Ringers? Perhaps music related with Hairspray or Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years? Lots to choose from.

There's Still Canadian TV

SCTV is always good for a laugh as well as Kids in the Hall.

You're hard to please it seems, but choose one because next time it'll be 1989!
