Welcome to a slapdash special edition of Nerds Without Pants! Scheduling and tech woes have kept us from recording a proper episode, but instead of leaving our wonderful audience high and dry, Julian has cobbled together this impromptu resurrection of Digital Mystery Tour, our failed video game music podcast from...4 years ago? Sheesh. Anyway, we hope you enjoy!
FEATURED MUSIC:
Yakuza Kiwami 2: The End of the Dogma
Oxenfree: Beacon Beach
God of War: The Dragon
Octopath Traveler: Decisive Battle II
The Witcher 3: Steel for Humans

Interesting MGS guy had something to do with Yakuza, since I was thinking of MGS while watching after credit cutscene number 8 upon completing Yakuza 6 the other day.
The Oxenfree song reminds me of one of the SNES Mega Man ice levels because of the instruments used.
I need to pop God of War back in the PS4, but that means getting up ... why do I buy discs?
Octopath Traveler is heavily reminding me of Gravity Rush 2, even though that game is a lot more jazzy. The way piano and horns are used is similar though. The battle sequences match the energy, music-wise.
Witcher III I just keep hearing "Blood of the Tiger."
The more I hear that Octopath track the more I hear Dragon Quest battle music. But that may just be me being excited for DQ XI today.
