Angelo and Julian felt bad about being gone so long, so they got together to talk about a bunch of stuff that wouldn’t have fit into episode 120. Enjoy this bite-sized (I guess??) episode of Nerds Without Pants!

This episode includes: Lamenting the lack of pinball machines in the wild, newfangled Galaga, classic Galaga, Battle on the Big Bridge, Final Fantasy V, an update on Final Fantasy XIV, the weird new policy of triple A games from Square Enix, Dad of Light, Angelo’s board game corner (Great Western Trail, Lords of Waterdeep), wishing we could play D&D, fat chocobos, Metroid: Samus Returns, Dragon’s Crown, and a couple listener questions!

If you would like to buy Hammersong, the comic that Julian edited, please check out its Big Cartel shop!

FEATURED MUSIC:

Månegarm- Hemfärd

Thunder Zone- Leave it to Me

I actually prefer holding R for missiles in Metroid. I started with Fusion and Zero Mission, so using Select feels too slow for me while holding a shoulder button is instant. Granted, the 3DS isn't the best system for that, but I still prefer it over Select, especially in the faster paced Metroids like Fusion, ZM, and SR.

"I know more than I'm able to back up with actual action." I can't relate to that at all. That is a specific-to-you problem, Angelo. No one else has that problem. Particularly not I.

I ... don't really know anything about the games being discussed. Well, Samus Returns is a Metroid, but ...
