So Monday, the Boston Marathon was interrupted with bombings, now in West, Texas, a city only about an hour southeast of where I live (again, city, not the region, "West Texas") a fertilizer plant has exploded.
My thoughts are with those injured; thankfully I have not heard of any deceased.
Here's to hoping a lumber yard doesn't explode on my way to Nacogdoches this weekend. Apparently, dad had to pull over in a couple hail storms the other day in my car he is borrowing, that I'll be using for my trip. Great.
It's been a great week for me in terms of job offers and gets (have a third option involving sports photography for weekends now), but would be a lot better if things didn't get worse elsewhere at the same time.
Would rather only the former part of of the opening line to A Tale of Two Cities be the true one. Maybe one day.
Toll line to locate loved ones in West Texas: (254) 202-1100
I'm glad things are going better with your job search. I think the thing about a Tale of Two Cities, is it's always going to be like that -- the best and the worst at the same time.
Not much news about the explosion. Don't know if it was an accident or somebody did it. I hope it was an accident.
Accident. It is national news, and the woman I was conference calling in Santa Monica, CA for the new job actually asked me about it, so I'm surprised you didn't see it, but I guess you try to avoid news. Not a bad idea for this week. lol
First thing I saw whenever I woke up this morning. It's tragic indeed, I wish them all the best.
Same.
Yea its all over the news in Austin defiantly not a good week in the US
Not at all.
I didn't see anything on that because I tend to avoid the news, since nothing good ever comes from it, since there's always news that someone died and such. But damn, hope it was an accident and not a bombing attempt. Wish those people well.
Pretty sure accident, but still a comparable amount of injuries to Boston bombing and lots of homes gone. Sad.
