I just wanted to take some time to do a couple of things in this blog.
First off, I just wanted to take the time to thank you all for the great feedback and positive vibes in regards to the first Dark Souls video. It’s great to see you all are liking it so far, and it’s also very motivating and pushing me to go further with it and give you all the best I can. I seem to be the go-to person for Soul’s related stuff, so it’s great to contribute in such a hands-on manner!
We currently have 3-5 videos shot at the moment (I can’t remember how many to be exact) so I’ll try to get one out to you as soon as possible this week! I’ve been rather stuck on a certain boss and his mutts (*Hint hint*), but I won’t let that hold me back.. It’s just difficult to work a Bow-Build in close quarters.
The last video we shot had a few ‘hiccups’, meaning that our computer was skipping while recording. But this is to be expected though; we’re always running into problems. I just bought a new PC last weekend solely for capturing footage, so hopefully everything works out and these tech issues go away. I just wanted to make you aware of this in case you think you’re missing something. That’s probably because the footage turned out to be unsalvageable and I just scrapped it. But if it gets scrapped, no fears because you won’t miss much, it’ll just be one of my struggles with that certain boss and his mutts.
Secondly, I’ve been playing NeverDead as of lately. It’s not a bad game, but it’s far from great. It’s basically about this guy who can’t die and kills demons. It’s as simple as that. The cool part is that you can’t truly die; instead you lose limbs and either have to regenerate them or reclaim them by rolling over them. You can even lose all your limbs and torso and simply be a head rolling around. While this concept seems simple enough in terms that you’ll never really get a game over, it’s easily thwarted by enemies swallowing your head, or you partner dying because this is kind of a giant fucking escort mission.
Regardless of the game and its faults (Escort missions just aren’t the same as Elizabeth from Bioshock), it’s still fun and entertaining even though it’s far from the best.
Ok, I’m done typing. I’ll get a new video to you all as soon as possible!!
And please make sure you subscribe to our channel! I don’t know if PixlBit will want me flooding their site with a bunch of videos or anything!
whoah, neverdead sounds nuts. what's the link to your channel again?
Here's the link:
And NeverDead is fun. It's definitely different!
Ok i subscribed to your channel, so keep me interested lol jk and are you going to do a strategy in the dlc Atoria of the Abyss excellent add on i might add and in reguards to your fighting a boss close quarters with a bow lol a delima indeed but you could be in my situation stuck at demons forge with no arrows for your bow which you desparately need in demons forge and im still trying to hike badk through blightown to find the merchant, things would be so much easier if there was a merchant in demons forge.
I would do a walkthrough of Artorias of the Abyss, but I have it on Xbox and not PS3. However, I may be willing to make a quick runthrough with my Katniss build on Xbox and hit up the DLC (On NG+++ lol) since it'll be a continuation of my Bow-Build!
And that's definitely a bummer!! You're best bet may be to look through your weapons and see what you have that does decent damage and scales well with Dexterity and just try to fight your way through! Blight Town is a monster, and if you're through most of it then you may be better of just pushing forward!
Well im at the part in demons forge where thoughs big ass worms come out of the walls and pillars and then these huge knight looking things roaming around and if you pick em off with bows your good but a melee fight is instant death.
You keep saying Demon's Forge, but do you happen to mean Lost Izalith? I'm kind of confused where you are exactly.. I think you're talking about the Capra and Taurus Demons that are lurking around in Lost Izalith. IF that's the case, you're best bet it to dodge and dodge well if you're out of arrows. That place is tough, and the boss at the end sucks even more...
after you fight that big spider in blightown you come to an area thats nothing but lava and you fight that big lava monster and continue in to an area called demons forge and it insanely tough
Thats cause im talking about Dark Souls 2 not dark souls
Yeah, you're heading towards Lost Izalith.. Did you JUST beat Quelaag (Spider)? Or did you go out and complete Sens Fortress?
Shit dude.. How did you get Dark Souls 2!?
lol cause i am typing on a Tablet and my big ass fingers hit two lol sorry about that
Yea I beat the spider then you go to where theres nothing but lava and these maggot spitting plants then i beat that huge lave creature i cant think if his name and dried up the lava which leads to an area called the demon Ruins not forge my bad on the way to Izalith
Ok, I got ya now!!
IF you rang the 2nd bell and haven't gone to Sens Fortress yet, then turn around asap and get out of there. You'll just be wasting your time until you get the Lord's Vessel and open all the fog-gates to the Tier-2 bosses (I call 'em Tier-2 because you can't get to them until you get the Lord's Vessel).
Where you're at is some place you don't want to be until you're a bit levelled up. As for getting through Blighttown, there's a back entrance you can take that will take you right into Firelink Shrine! As soon as you are walking out of Quelaag's Lair, go straight ahead and you'll see a Water-Wheel device you can ride up. Just keep ascending and you'll find your way!
im level 100 equiped with the black knight sword+1 ,Hornet ring i dont think i have the vessel not sure though and im in the demon ripuins lol sorry about the confusion and hell at level 100 i should be prtty leveled up i grinded my ass off to get there mainly in that forest with the clerics and no i did not use that cheat i did it by killing thoughs clerics over and over
You'd get the Lord's Vessel automatically by killing Ornstein and Smough. By the sounds of it though, you should've done that and you're in the right area. After killing Ornie and Smough you can take any of 4 different paths, all leading back to the way you need to go.
where would it be in my inventory and what do you recommend wearing armor wise and weapon oh and i got this damn curse thing on my head and cant get rid of it heres a clip of whats on my head and where im at
LOL, You got egg on yo' face!!
That's cured by back-tracking and talking to Eygini (He's the Egg-bearer by Chaos Covenent).
As for the Lords Vessel location in your inventory, it SHOULD be with the other Lord Souls in your inventory. I actually think it will be listed with your Titanite! You did beat Ornstein and Smough right?
And I know exactly where you are.. That place it a bitch! Make sure you keep leveling up your Vitality, you'll need it if you're not fully prepared!
As for armor, it's all depending on how you play. Seeing as you're a Strength-based build with 40 Endurance (After 40, Stamina stops increasing), I'd so go for something heavy that doesn't hold you back from dodging efficiently. I ALWAYS wore Elite Knight Armor +14 with any Str/Dex builds of mine. It's great armor that provides good protection and poise, yet it's light enough for you to move and dodge effeciently!
you know what no i dont think i beat dumb and dumber where are they at?
You have to go through Sens Fortress. It's the across the bridge located above Andre the Blacksmith
in other words back across the itherside of the world wow that means backtracking back through blightown and oh lord thats along way.
Kind of.. You can make quick work of it if you take that short-cut I mentioned before with the water-wheel out of Blighttown!
ok i will try it but i keep getting knocked off by them damn mosqito things lol and i also need to find that egg guy to get rid of this thing on my head lol.
Keep the videos coming Chris! Never Dead sounds crazy. I can't help but notice the contrast of talking about a game where dying over and over is common place to one where you can't die lol.
Thanks!!
And I didn't notice that contrast until you just pointed it out.. LOL!
Awesome
To me NeverDead looked like a wacky Suda 51 game. lol. I remember it got shat on a lot by the mainstream press then again they tend to do that to any game that isn't AAA these days.
Yeah, it's really not the best game I've ever played. But trust me, I've played a LOT worse games. Give it a try if you ever see it for less than $10!!
Nothing wrong with cheap fun! Onechanbara Bikini Samura Squad is one of my favorite guilty pleasures of all time. lol. I'd probably dig never dead because it seems to have the same low budget humor. lol.
It wasn't as humorous as some lower-budget games, but you'll still probably dig it! I just checked on Amazon.com and you can buy it new for $15, or used for a little under $5!
Never Dead seems like a good bad game. Are you going to do a tips and tricks guide outside of the main walkthrough for DS? Those types of vids seem to get lots of hits. And now to finish Demon's Souls.
I've been trying to incorporate them. I'm just hoping that what I don't say is said through my actions.
NeverDead sounds like someone made a game out of the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Just watched you link on youtube man, playing it for a month and he didn't reach the second boss! sounds like a very time consuming game. Dark Souls does look pretty epic it's just a shame that I don't think I'd have that much to dedicate on a game at the moment. Love the noob call of duty reference there too.... 'yeah I ve got a grenade launcher, I'll handle this shit'
