Well, Microsoft went and revealed a system I was already only lukewarmly (thats a word, right?) interested in weeks ago and turned it into a console that I'm not interested in whatsoever. The always online and always on Kinect 2 kills a LOT for me and my wife.
But at the same time, I don't see me buying a ps4 anytime soon either. More that likely before a xb1 of course.
Why? because I still have a working 360 and just recently got a PS3. i have a lot of gaming backstock to get through. I can't just buy a new console and controllers and games when I have a large amount of gaming to still do. i have a few games i havent even unwrapped yet.
So im sure that once the new consoles come out, im gonna grab cheap games everywhere and just wait out the initial consoles that burn out and wait for gen 2 of these systems. One day i will upgrade, but for now, im fine where im at.
I think my plan is to buy a PS3, then get a bunch of cheap games for it once these new systems launch.
its a good plan. the games ive gotten for the ps3 that ive enjoyed have been a lot of fun.
and i hate to admit it, but i like the controller more than i like the 360 one
I'll be interested in the new Xbox when it has enough fun games to play. I love my 360 and PS3, but I didn't get them right away either, believe it or not.
I think they'll still be releasing PS3 games for a while. It takes time for a new system to get its feet on the ground, so there's a lot of sense in waiting.
That being said, the kid in me can't wait to buy myself a PS4 for Xmas.
