This is exactly What GW2 did. I'm going to play GW2 now. Tell me when I can buy a digital copy of this.

yeah this happens a lot.  I'm going to hold off if I play it at all.

It took me most of the afternoon to get it installed yesterday. Then another hour trying to find a server. After trying 5 different worlds on the Europe/ NorthAmerica servers and getting messages of them being full,  out of desperation I tried a Japan server. I got in immediately on the first try. So when they open it back up after maintanence later today you can find me on the Japanese world Carbuncle. And so far I'm really enjoying my time there. I 'm curently a lv 8 pugilist cat guy going by the name of Hestor Grimulys.

yeah I've been reading your blogs.  apparently it's common.  it's unfortunate though for people who paid for the game...

What really ticked me off is that I had the preorder but no one explained how the early access worked. I knew it was going to get crazy so I wanted to get in ASAP. Plus I didn't get my exclusive head gear and pet. Still lookin into how to fix that though. I'm just glad I finaly got in and got to play. I noticed a lot of campers though, people who didn't think they could get back in so they just left their players idle till they could play again.

yeah, it's pretty unfortunate.  I guess it's both a good and bad thing for Square.  I couldn't deal with this stuff, and I'm hesitant about the subscription, so I just gave up on it and cancelled my preorder during Phase 4

Looks like I made the right decision in not buying this game. I guess even SquareEnix is not immune to server errors. At least this time it has nothing to do with a restrictive DRM or online pass type system.

that's true.  just too many people wanting to play the game!

Im still planning to get this but im holding off until all the smoke clears. Im hopeing in the coming weeks things calm down and everything gets fixed.

So good, my original copy and log in works, so I can play the game (free trial perios at least). What version do you have/are you getting, PS3 or PC?

Played a little bit last night, and Holy Shit! There are more than six quests to do now! In fact, there were a bit too many quests popping up all over this first town (Garandia, or whatever it's called). Be careful what you wish for!

But I think they might have pulled it off.Won't know until I see a good dungeon and get into a battle with a wicked cool boss.

I was playing PS3, but I cancelled my preorder when I couldn't get on during Phase 4, and money reasons.  I own a copy for PC though, and I might play it. They did improve the game a lot, and I do really like it, but I don't think I can afford the subscription as much as I like it.

Doesn't surprise me. People are desperate for SE to redeem themselves after the Nova Crystalis debacle. Plus the FF 15 trailer generated some positive buzz. Also, with WoW pretty much past its prime, the market is ready for another blockbuster.

the game is pretty good.  I'm going to wait it out and try later.

Well, good problem to have on their end, I suppose.
