So its officially 2014, the start of a New Year which hopefully will bring new changes and positive times. Im aiming to actually complete my goals this year, each year I seemingly only accomplish surviving another year. That in itself is a pretty big accomplishment but I wanna achieve more than that at the end of each year.
This year im truely gonna aim to make my goals and take the proper steps to accomplish them. I normally give up half way but I must trudge on no matter what. I have 3 big ones for me this year. My 3 big goals to achieve are:
1. Losing Weight
My weight issue has been the most hardest drag on problem. I wanna lose weight dont get me wrong, its jsut the biggest trial of my life. I once lost 80 pounds and weighed between 135 and 125. I currently need to lose around 120 pounds to be at a healthy weight. This year Im gonna give it the most best effort and not give in, I refuse to give in!
2. Reading
I always set a reading goal, Im on Goodreads and they have a reading challenge you can do. I every year put in to read 50 books but I never reach it. I did reach 20 in 2013. So for this year instead of 50, I decided to try for 30 instead. If I read around 2 to 3 books a month by December 2014 Ill reach my goal! Im starting this challenge with The Chronicles of Malus Darkblade Vol. 1 by Dan Abnett and Mike Lee.
3. Blogging
I want to aim to blog more, recently I have been slipping. Life has played a part in it but still, I need to keep up with my blogging. Ive been stating ill post my Rune Factory 4 review and it never shows up. Im still aiming to post, its not forgotten! Im gonna shot to post atleast 2 blogs a week this year.
I have others of smaller aims of course but these main 3 are my biggest focus. Lets make the best of 2014 yall!
Good luck and Happy New Year! I'm just going to take the year as it comes and try to focus on my future as much as possible.
Thank you and happy new year! Thats a great way to do theyear, I just feel for once I need to fill some accompishment this year. Especially since Im turning 25 come September and I havent barely at all done any goals I had set for reaching my mid twenties. I feel though if I achieve these 3, it might just make me feel better.
I know what you mean. I am not at all where I thought I'd be at my age. Achieving goals really does help, though. I think the key is to not compare yourself to anyone but yourself. That way you don't start thinking "oh, if only I were like this person," you just know that you improved, which is what matters, and that way you can stay positive and keep at it.
At least, that's the perspective I am going to try living with, and I think it sounds like it'll work. Everyone is different, though, so do what works for you.
I'm with you on reading more, except I don't think I could hit 30 or 50 books in a year, but I do like Goodreads because seeing what friends are reading is always interesting. I think I'll start my reading before the weekend but I'm also still working on Book 1 of Game of Thrones.
I read 20 this last year so I decided to tack on 10 more for an extra reach. I love goodreads, its another home for me like pixlbit is. Its just my home for me reading side, lol. I plan to read the Game of Thrones series eventually. I heard mixed things about it but I wanna give it my own try.
yeah i don't read enough either. I used to love reading, but I just can't focus now. I keep buying new books though, but they don't get read.
I my collection went down last year but I buy books like crazy, I need the library from Beauty and the beast, lol.
Looking forward to your Rune Factory 4 review. Good luck with your fitness goals!
I working on it Cary, Thank you for not getting fustrated with me,lol! Thank you!
I discovered Goodreads this year and use it all the time. Maybe we could create a Pixlbit Goodreads group or something? That would be cool.
This should be done good sir! Would you like to create it since it was your amazing idea!
I'll look into it.
Good luck with your goals! I need to read more as well. I've done a lot of it since Thanksgiving so I plan to keep it up. I keep finding cheap offers on e-books, too, so they're not going to read themselves.
