January 2014: Packing it in.

Not packing it in as in goodbye, although in a way it sorta is.

I'm packing up all my playstation 1 and 2 games today to be stored away in the eves along with the majority of my book collection.  I was woken up rather rudly this morning by my mother threatening to destroy most of my belongings unless my father and I started to purge our stuff on our own.  She could see them gathering dust in the closet and takening up vaulable drawer space.  So today isn't Spring Cleaning, but Winter Reorganization.

It was going to come to this sooner or later.  I did plan on moving on to PS4 at some point this spring, but now probably later than I planned.  Actually, maybe I won't pick up a PS4 until August.  That feels right, that's when I bought my PS3, during tax free weekend in August oh so long ago.  The simple reason being that I still have an enormous quantity of PS3 backlog to get through, and with Dark Souls 2, Tales of Xillia 2, Atelier Escha & Logy, and a few other games still in the pipeline I can afford to wait.

So now I have all my PS1 & 2 games stacked on my floor.  I'm about to scan them into Delicious Library, and commit them to box.  Someday, I'll have my own place.  Maybe then I'll have shelves where they can live.

Lol.  I know, tragic that they can't live on the shelves in my closet anymore!

I feel for ya. We bounced back and forth acorss the Atlantic a couple of times and then moved half-way across the country briefly. Each time, my mother ditched a ton of my stuff.

That stinks man, but it sounds like you still have the games, right?

Yeah, they're just hiding... or will be.... the boxes are still sitting here on the floor for now.
