I started up an Air Raider class today in EDF 2025 after I finished my retro games and called in an Howitzer attack on some ants.  It was very impressive and annihilated a whole city block. Then I spent a lot of time toolling around in a tank. It made me nigh invulnerable to spider webbing. I like that!

                                         The Air Raider is the master of disaster.

The Air Raider is pretty cool. It's mostly a support character but what he's got in weaponry is actually fun. I started out with really basic weapons and executed a few air raids, but after about ten levels of play, I got some more interesting ones. My settup involved a weapon that shoots sticky bombs that you remotely detonate once shot (which I used as a last resort relatively close combat weapon), an emplacement that boosts your defense when you're within the affected zone, and a small mech that has two flame throwers for arms. Basically I just sat in the defensive zone with the mech and flamed the hoards of ants that encircled me while my Ranger friend shot rockets at the drop ships, also within the protective zone. I noticed that after a while we were surrounded by drop boxes making for easy pickup  when the level was about to end. 

                                                  Back up sucka. I feel good.

I also used a troop transport and trucked my Ranger friend around in it making for much better maneuverability on the battlefield. Some of the rural locations just take forever without a vehicle. This is going to help a lot. I think I'm going to like the Air Raider.
