BaD #12: Can't Sleep.

I've been having trouble falling asleep the past few weeks.  Not entirely certain why, though it's allowed me to get in some good gaming hours during the ungodly witching hours that I should be dozing.

I played a Goliath in multiplayer for the first time today in Evolve.  I didn't last long.  Normally, this wouldn't bother me, until I heard a couple of the people playing Hunter characters talking shit on their mics, insinuating that I probably had no idea what game I'd bought, and that I was probably thinking of taking it back.

Well, instead of plugging in my mic and spurting out venomous retorts, I simply stuck with that group of people for 3 more rounds and helped them annihilate a couple monsters before abruptly disconnecting on them as soon as I became the game host.

Take that, bitches.  I'm much more for actions than talking.  Anyhow, it's a bit past 130 am PST here in California, and I just downloaded a new system update for the ps4.  Gonna install it and then decide on a game to play for a hour or so until I get so tired that I can't keep my eyes open.

Can't wait until my day off, Thursday.  Gonna put some serious time in with Evolve, try to unlock as many of the other Hunters as I can.

Have a good day, all.

This game doesn't sound appealing to me at all, While I loved Left4Dead series, I just don't care about co-op shooters, and I mainly played L4D because I love the zombie genre. Speaking of which, I need to get back to Dying Light.

it scratches my co-op itch.  I have a group of people that I usually play Evolve with, but most of them aren't on really late-night hours during weekdays.  One or two of them might be, but they play other games too.

ha ha that's pretty funny.  but also one of the reasons I don't play those games.  people can be such jerks.

If you have trouble sleeping, it might sound quaint, but drinking warm milk helps.  there's a chemical in there that puts u to sleep.  If the idea of drinking warm milk turns you off, what u can do is buy sugar free hot chocolate mix, and make sugar free hot chocolate.  That works for me when I have to go to sleep.

First time I've been trolled like that on the PSN.  Wasn't gonna let a couple jagoffs ruin the game for me.

And...I need to practice more as a monster.

See, I have the opposite problem. I can't stay awake!

Tryptophan is the stuff Matt's talking about. It's in turkey, too. So if you don't want milk (it doesn't have to be warm, by the way), you can always eat a turkey sandwich instead.

I can't game if I'm trying to get to sleep. Gaming wires me. I usually read or watch something I've seen a million times before. Believe it or not, one of my go to movies when I need to drop off is Die Hard.

Certain games get me wired up.  I've been playing a bit of PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate during my late-late-night sessions, it's pretty mellow, though nothing I'd call relaxing.

Maybe I should play Flower, I hear that game is pretty good to relax to.

Flower is amazing. It's one of the only games that really uses the 6-axis controls to their best adcvantage that I've played. And the music is so soothing. When I was having anxiety issues from my last job, playing Flower really helped calm some of my anxiety attacks.

I need to get Evolve, see my friends playing it all the time. Guilty Gear and Rayman are keeping me busy thoguh.

I want Evolve but im waiting for more people to play with. I dont care to play with strangers, the minute people know im a chick they be jerks and assholes. I rather play with a group I know then with a bunch of random assholes. I give you kudos on getting them back. They deserved that shit.

Yup another reason why I don't like multiplayer games. The yahoos on these games ruin the fun. Anyways good for you not jumping in and talking back, you're just feeding into them at that point. I do like that you disconnected when it was your turn to host.

Is your lack of sleep because of stress? That's usually my reason why I can't sleep.
