Agents of P.I.X.L.B.I.T. what is up? It is currently Thursday night as I type this intro because I’ve been battling a cold and I think on Friday I’m going to spend quality time sleeping…or watching the Game Show Network. I currently have a raspy voice going which means I could probably be a decent Rock/Blues Singer. We’ll find out once I charge the iPod in the bathroom and I do all my singing in the shower. Singing or getting graphics ideas, the shower is the perfect place for it. So how has your week gone? Anything going on this weekend? I was going to check out a very minor league wrestling show at a YMCA and enter the raffle for a new 3DS XL but since I have this fun cold, it looks like a no go for really bad wrestling. I shouldn’t say bad, these folks are putting on a show, we’ll just say very minor league wrestling. Anyways let’s get this blog started.

What Chris Watched…

Agents of SHIELD The Black Bars Edition To Keep The Spoilers Away

This past Tuesday was the Season Finale of SHIELD, and unlike last season there was no member from the movie cast showing up, not even Maria Hill. Throughout the season there was a splintered storyline that included two versions of SHIELD, Inhumans, and Ward being behind the scenes what looked to be a build up of all three-plot points hitting the same point creating our Season Finale.

During this episode and parts of the season I joked that what was set in motion was basically Empire Strikes Back. Skye splinters off from the rag tag bunch of the Coulson SHIELD so she can learn how to control her powers, just like a certain Jedi in training went to visit a little green guy. She encounters her parents, is shocked by it, has a battle aboard a carrier, where she fights a parent, and someone loses a limb (poor Coulson.) The season ends with someone getting covered in some gray stuff. Where’s Boba Fett? Don’t get me wrong, I liked how the season turned out, the excitement over a new bus, Fitz trying his hardest to get out of the Friendzone, and the overall positive feelings everyone has going into the third season, but it almost felt a little too clean. The only real lingering storyline was Ward creating his own Hydra, and what exactly swallowed Simmons?

There were a couple of moments in the show I really liked, like the jokes placed at random times like Fitz’s Science Biatch, Simmons trying to talk to him about what happened last season and Fitz countering with “Now, really?” right before he goes into battle, Skye visiting her dad who is now a vet and has no memory of her, and the scene where Bobbi risks her own life to save Hunter. I’m looking forward to next season where hopefully Stark Industries creates a new hand for Coulson, May/Skye beating up on people, and what are they going to do with Bobbi and Hunter who were supposed to have a spinoff show, but that was cancelled. They left their story arch at Bobbi finally wanting to leave SHIELD, while it looks like Hunter is finally fitting in. Anyways I like where the show is headed, it doesn’t need to have any of the movie Superheroes visit (but it would be nice to see one or two a season) and I’m excited that SHIELD and Agent Carter are returning next season.

Arrow Season Finale More Black Boxes Galore

This season Oliver Queen continues to be Green Batman and the writers continue to borrow plots from the last three movies. When the plotline was revealed that Ra’s was going to use a biological weapon to destroy Starling it sounded a lot like a certain plot involving the water pipe that ran under Arkham Asylum. The story continues with that there were four different ways Ra’s was going to expose the weapon to the Starling folks (seriously I’d move out of a city that was “protected” by a Superhero. All they do is attract danger and end up taking out half of the city.) The shows climatic scene happens, guess where, over water where Ollie and Ra’s are dressed the same so naturally the cops couldn’t take either out.

Don’t get me wrong; I really enjoyed this episode, much more than the last two leading up to it. I felt the last two episodes really dragged out what was going to happen. What happened in the previous two episodes could have been condensed into one, and had the season finale become a two-part episode. The one character I found most interesting was Malcolm because he went from truly evil, to maybe taking a turn for the better, right back to evil a-hole, finally ending with what he wanted in the beginning while getting the people that hate him to achieve it. Thea became less annoying, while the fun Felicity was replaced by one that got a bit whiny at times. I’m hoping next season’s Arrow we go back to the fun loving team, where there were jokes at random times and I want to see Felicity become the owner of that section of Palmer Technologies which used to be Queen Consolidated. I’d like to see more of Laurel and Nyssa teaming up. I liked their dynamic in the second part of the season, and they would make a good one two punch, and perhaps bring in more battles with the new Ra’s.

NXT

I don’t know if I talked about this brand of wrestling before, but NXT is the main reason why I keep my WWE subscription. NXT is the developmental wrestling program set out of Florida and every Wednesday for about an hour its usually filled with good matches. The main thing I like about this show is that the women’s division is head and shoulders better than the main roster on Raw and Smackdown. I can say I am finally caught up with all the episodes I’ve missed and I am more excited about their Takeover next week than the latest WWE Pay Per View.

Celebrity Jeopardy

This past week has been Celebrity Jeopardy and only once did Alex Trebek have to explain/shame the contestants during Final Jeopardy. Next to Kids Week, Celebrity Jeopardy is one of the easiest shows. The Final Jeopardy question was essentially “Who are these turn of the century people?” It was a picture of two guys on a motorcycle with a side car. EVERYONE got it wrong. There was a motorcycle and two guys, Harley and Davidson.

Chef’s Table

This is a show I spotted on Netflix while looking for something to watch during lunch. I checked out the first 20 minutes or so before moving on, and it looks like a show I could binge watch on a weekend…or tomorrow if the Game Show Network is showing black and white episodes of Password.

Chris Takes Photos

So before my body decided to catch a cold I was outside snapping pictures and enjoying the nice weather (currently it is drizzling here in what is usually sunny Southern California)

Here are a couple of the neighbors flying around. I think the one on the right is the one that lives in the backyard. That bird controls the airspace around the house and when the other shows up its like a mini Top Gun Dogfight.

Here is a shot of some random plants. I think this was in the neighbor’s yard. I need to start taking more pictures where everything is in focus and less bokeh pictures just to mix it up a bit.

This was a fun picture to take because I got to use the zoom lens and got some pictures of the water droplets. Tell me again about this drought.

Over the past week I’ve been walking around the neighborhood around dusk and I’ve been getting some really interesting shots. This image I like because of the lens flare.

When I took this picture, it looked flat but thanks to the raw editor on Photoshop I was able to bring out the details, and I like how it came out. Because of this I’ve been shooting a lot of clouds

Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande Cover Don’t Dream It’s Over From People Magazine

I know what you’re thinking because I was saying the same thing “wow that sounds like a terrible combo,” but it turned out really good. This needs to be on iTunes.

Is it just me or does the new Supergirl sound like The Devil Wears Prada, if it was a DC Property? I’ll check it out.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

Ok so again I don’t read the comics so I don’t know if this is an actual group or just a push for an Arrow Spinoff, but I do want to watch it

Sara Lance is back, and the writers for Arrow really want to give Captain Lance a heart attack. First his daughter is alive, then she died with Ollie, and now she’s back only to disappear and then come back just to take three arrows to the chest (League of Assassins gear can stop a couple of shots from a sniper rifle, but have a hard time stopping arrows.)

 CSI Is Ending – Article From Time Magazine

I didn’t know the show was still airing. I was a big fan of the early seasons, and I even bought the video game. I’m excited to see Grissom and Willows come back for the Finale Movie.

Seriously Odell Beckham’s catch against Dallas was freaking awesome and he deserves to be on the cover of Madden.

So while walking around Walmart I spotted these and obviously I had to try them.

They really didn’t taste like actual bacon but more like bacon bits (the stuff you get in a bottle to throw on your salad.)

There are no new games this week because I bought way too many the past couple of weeks and I need to take them off Mount Backlog before adding any more.

Music

The local mom & pop didn’t have much in terms of the Buy 5 Get 5 Free wall but I did notice that they now have a Hawaiian music section. The best part is that the CDs are all $4.

I don’t know who Keola Beamer is but I do like Raiatea Helm’s music. The music is all Hawaiian, and the shocker is the first track is Imagine. Na Leo is like a pop Hawaiian group that sings covers as well as original stuff. Their version of Baby Mine is one of my favorites (not as good as Alison Krauss’ version)

Because when you think of Hawaiian pop music, Ja Rule has to be in the conversation. I think I now have all of his albums.

Hot Wheels

I have this theory that once I find a car that I’ve been looking for, it’ll start showing up everywhere. Last week while visiting the ghetto Walmart (I was looking for Clearance Lego) and I made a trip to the Hot Wheels section and in the dump bins of cars in the middle of the aisles I found these two cars

I finally found the black chrome Batmobile and a random bobsled car. When I checked out another dump bin I found these cars

Two of the new Batmobiles from the next Batman game. The next day I went to the good Walmart near my house and I spotted these cars

Another Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile and a Dodge Challenger. My uncle used to have one of these cars. Growing up I was a huge Knight Rider fan and he had a some kind of radio in it because when any of my uncles would drive this car I would go outside to watch them leave and there was a speaker on it where they would say “Chris go inside” and of course I thought it was just like KITT.

So when I was at the ghetto Walmart, I remembered that there were some Avengers Hot Wheels and sure enough in the same dump bin I found most of the Fast and Furious cars I found all the Avengers cars

I’m not a fan of the car models but I liked the packaging so I picked up a set. I think I could have made another three complete sets from all the cars in the bin. The only car holding back more complete sets was the lack of Thor cars.

Alright Agents of P.I.X.L.B.I.T. I am off to spend time with my bed and maybe Game Show Network. It’s been fun, but this damn cold is kicking my butt and another nap sounds good right now. Have a good weekend!
