So I got my 101 students' tests graded the same day as they took it, thanks to the magic of Scantron scanners. Only reason it took longer was cause I marked a couple answers on the "keys" wrong, so I went back and added those points (or did nothing if they would have gotten it wrong anyway).
Then I got all the extra credit stuff I promised my other classes up on D2L. I talked with the D2L support guy how to tie their extra credit stuff to their projects, but it sounded too complicated so I'll just add points manually once their projects are done.
The three hands-on classes are working on their projects the next 3 weeks, so I'll just basically have to play lab assistant. The one 101 class I just have to read the chapters for this section then give lectures, so this weekend I can coast!
I'll probably finish Jessica Jones today, then get some gaming in over the weekend. Might be time to start Witcher III and make my 2016 wishlist.
I also made a video for another professor at the university where I teach re: the upcoming Summer class in London/Paris. I've never been out of the country, so I may ask if they need extra chaperones.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
I use D2L with my school too.
On the student side, it's not so bad, I had it for my classes as well. On the professor side, I think they have a lot of options, but that sometimes makes what I'm trying to do needlessly complicated imo.
That doesn't sound so bad! Of course...um...what is it you're teaching again?
Intro to Mass Communication, more or less a history course of mass media, and Multimedia Production, which is teaching the basics of video/audio production/editing, PhotoShop and InDesign (we use Adobe Audition and Final Cut Pro X for those first two).
Play The Witcher 3. It is awesome.
Yeah, it was like the Best Picture Oscar winner for video games last year from what I've seen about it.
I'm a little late in responding but did you ask for a spot to travel to Europe? That sounds like it would be a fun trip..with a little work thrown in.
Not yet. not sure they'd take me and i am sure i'd pay travel/lodging. So we'll see.
