For today’s minifigure image I decided to go with something loosely based off of Primal Rage. There are fourteen minifigures and two dinosaurs for sixteen figures in the image.

Currently Listening To: Video Game Generations Podcast – iPhone. I like listening to this podcast because it’s a father and his daughter and they talk about video games. Sometimes he brings in his younger kids to talk about what they play on their Fire Stick and consoles in a segment he calls Minigamer.

This past weekend it has been all about Lego Jurassic World. I finished off the main story around Friday, and I’ve been just roaming around trying to collect everything else to get the 100% and Platinum #10. I think I could earn that trophy later on this week and then I will be off to try Mad Max, which has been sitting since I bought it in November.

Jurassic World is based on the four Jurassic Park movies, along with their individual versions of their parks. I thought the first three movies were too short (four or five levels per movie) while the last game was treated well but it could have been better if the game itself was just for either this game, or added more to the other three flicks. This is one of my reservations on the next Lego Star Wars game (I’m still debating on if I should get it). The puzzles in the game are different from previous games but some of the themes haven’t changed like patterns, button presses, etc. There are still some funky camera angles at times, and the only funky glitch I encountered was in a section with a machine the machine is supposed to spit out a bunch of high value Lego Studs along with a red brick but a couple of times I only got the studs.

The one improvement I really liked is that the minikits are actually useful. Instead of just creating a statue, they become a playable character in the game. There is a lot of roaming around the various parks looking for photo spots, characters in peril, and gold and red bricks. If you can unlock the red bricks for the gold and red bricks because it makes it easier to look around and find items within the area. The bonus to this game is actually playing as dinosaurs. You can unlock each dinosaur by collecting amber within the story levels, and they instantly become available on special blue pads, like the ones for vehicles.

Lego Jurassic World is a pleasant surprise for me in how much I’m enjoying this game. At first I was still on Lego Burnout and didn’t really enjoy the game but after playing Lego Marvel Avengers, I got back into the silliness of the Lego Franchise, and enjoying this run through this game, which hopefully will end with a platinum trophy.

Alright Pixlpeeps, I am off. Have a good Monday!

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

Thanks! I thought this shot would be more fun outside instead of the usual indoor setup.

It took me a sec to realize how u did it.

For me, LEGO Jurassic World was one of the more humorous LEGO games.  Lots of funny and silly comedy bits.

Jurassic World had a lot of funny moments and turned some of the more violent movie scenes into pure comedy.

I can't really get into LEGO games, cause it seems you just bash and build things, which would be fine ... if both of those things didn't consist of holding or pressing the same button. Maybe I'd ike JW better.

Yeah JW is more of the same. The one thing that kind of "fixes" that is the quick build, and one shot red bricks. The one shot brick became my favorite because you just walk up to something and it breaks.
