For this week I thought I would cover the songs that were remixed that I liked. So for today this is what I am listening to

Dream - This Is Me Remix

Here is the original

Yesterday I found a football game on the Switch.

01

Football Heroes Turbo is an arcade football game where your players can punch, spin, and have super powers a super punch, electrocuting the opponents, and hurdling. It plays like a conventional football game (think Tecmo Bowl) where you have 15 plays on offense and 15 on defense, and you play 2 minute halves.

02

During the game you earn XP and money for your stats on the field as well as stringing combos together by punching, spinning, and using special moves. The special moves usually have a cool down so you use them wisely. At the end of the game your earned XP, money, and training points. The Upgrade points can be used to upgrade your players and raise their XP limit. The drawback is once the player hits their XP limit they don’t earn any more. Money is used for the Free Agent market where every couple of games a new crop of players appear. You start out with bench warmer skilled players and you can upgrade to higher tier cards. Since I just started every so often a silver level player is available.

After a set number of “regular season” games are played the top 8 teams enter the playoffs

03

If you win in the playoffs you get promoted to next season which is more difficult than the previous season. After that season you have the option of dropping down a season where the competition isn’t as fierce, and you can build up your squad.

There is some customization in the game. You have your typical City, Team Name, Colors, and logo options but the logo options are limited and silly. You can also change the players last names and skin color. The one thing you don’t have a control of is the players skills. When you upgrade them the game does it automatically for you, so you can put all your points to make your players become Usain Bolt. As you upgrade your players you earn points for your team level. As your Team level rises your salary cap is raised and the team value is presented during the loading screen.

04

I created the West Canaan Coyotes from Varsity Blues and my team motto is The Home Of Lance Harbor.

05

Oh Varsity Blues…

Good game, and for $15 it is a steal.

In other games I am playing: I am still playing Titanfall 2, I think I’m getting close to the end because the story seems like it is starting to wrap up, still playing NBA 2K18 on the Switch even if 2K19 is now $20, and after not playing for a week I went back into my Chess game and the computer just wiped out my board with just their queen and a perfectly placed rook.

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

-Chris

Does Titanfall 2 have that War multiplayer mode like the first one? I really liked that, two large teams battling it out with titans.

That football game looks neat. I saw something similar browsing through Xbox Live games the other week. I like an arcade style sports game.

I don't know. I haven't touched the multiplayer even though when I load the game up it always puts the cursor on the Multiplayer button, trying to get me to click on it. I'm not falling for it Titanfall 2.

I think you would like this game. Very arcadey, but gets addictive and you want to constantly upgrade your players.

I will play it sometime. Titans were super fun in the first game.

Man, P. Diddy practically ruled hip hop and R&B remixes in the 2000s. Seemed every time I turned on the radio, I’d hear “this is the remix...BAD BOY baby”!

Heck yeah everytime This.Is.The.Remix. you knew it was going to be good. That was also the point where I knew I had to make a trip to the music store like The Warehouse or Tower Records. I miss those stores.

Fun fact: I saw Ron Lester perform stand-up at Hyena's Comedy Club in Dallas. It may have been before or after I went on (open mic night) so I was either distracted by planning or mulling over what did or didn't work, but I recall a lot of it being about a large shit he took on a plane ...

I don't remember DREAM or the song incredibly well, but the P. Diddy remix sounds very familiar as far as late 90s/2000s.

That's cool that you saw Billy Bob and you did an open mic.

Dream came around when everyone had a boy band/girl band and MTV played a lot of it. I bought the CD and then they just disappeared. Diddy was Mr. Remix in the 90s/2000s.
