BaD Day 01 - I'm Stalling For A Theme So Here's My SF Trip

Well good morning Pixlpeeps and I have to say this is the first time I’ve been in front of a laptop in a couple of days. I spent the weekend in San Francisco for a baby shower for my future nephew. While we were there I also spent time as a tourist doing the ultimate touristy thing and that is take the bus tour around the city, see some sights, soak up a little history and trivia and overall just enjoy the cool weather. Since I have no idea what to do for BaD this will be my jumping off point…and as a bonus my trip details will be in bullet point for that good ol’ fashion Cliffs Notes feel.

l We left Friday morning on the first flight out. I planned on playing with the Red Knight and some PSP goodness but I was up at 3am and it was a 6am flight so I was sleeping for most of the one hour flight

l While waiting for the room I fell asleep in the lobby of the hotel which raised some suspicions from the manager. Also how did I spend $8 on a flat Pepsi and a sad donut from the in-house Starbucks?

l Got the room, hopped in an Uber, and went into the City to hop on a Big Red Bus Tour. Took a lot of pictures. I ran out out of room on my SD Card and got properly fleeced at a Union Square Walgreens spending $40 on a card that should be $18. Spent the day roaming around.

l Saturday was the Baby Shower/Party. It was next to a library so before the festivities began I went to the library and bought some CDs.

l During the Shower there was an ongoing game where you wear clothes pins (I haven’t seen one in years) and you can’t say Baby. I lost my pin within the hour, and while nobody was looking I went and grabbed three more from the display. If you’re not cheating you’re not trying! Later on I told my aunt we should pool our pins so we can win. She didn’t believe in cheating. A little kid won the bag of candy when his little gang of cousins pooled their pins together.

l I visited a random mall in Daly City, watched people go nuts buying gear for the Super Bowl. I bought a pretzel. My brother and sis in law took us to a Prime Rib spot that was awesome. The garlic mashed potatoes were heavy on the garlic.

l Sunday we had a subpar breakfast in the hotel and headed to the airport. There was strong wind, enough to force SFO to use one runway. Landing back at home was rough but when we landed I gave some Dap to our pilot and said he was awesome.

Here’s a couple of pics I took:

01

I went on a bridge…I guess it’s famous (totally kidding)

02

View while walking around Chinatown

03

Haight & Ashbury. This street reeked of pot.

04

One of many spots I saw where you could stock up on bandwagon gear. (I did my traditional buy random gear from the airport. I bought a hat)

05

Me at SFO. I was wearing Kobe I’s. Ok so I don’t get this: SFO doesn’t sell plastic bottles of water. I had to buy a metal bottle of water but when I asked for a cup of ice it was given to me in a plastic cup. Uhhhh ok. FYI I filled my Hydroflask with my water and ice, and I kept the metal bottle.

06

I was going to type on the airplane but instead I played a football game I found on the App Store until we landed.

That’s all for now, more tomorrow! (I need to think of a theme)

I could go for a touristy tour right about now.

I want to do the one in San Diego now and see what I missed out on.

I used to live right next to Daly City. Pretty much a couple blocks from it. It was a shithole apartment but they were good times.

Daly City's weather is nuts. We went into the mall and it was sunny, left the mall and it was foggy and freaking cold. Drove 10 minutes to Burlingame and it was back to sunny and nice. The Bay is crazy.

It must have been a blast living there because there is just so much going on and all you have to do is just hop on BART.

Actually, twenty years ago it was pretty ghetto. We were near the Cow Palace.

Man I haven't heard the name Cow Palace in forever. I remember it being the first home of the San Jose Sharks

I appreciate the San Fran photos, but I'm mostly interested in the prime rib and taters.
