Jeez, it's been twenty days since my last blog. Not much has changed here, I've been playing a lot of games, but pretty randomly like a buffet. On July 5th, after a lot of deliberation, I drove halfway across town to the Apple Store and traded in my cursed Macbook Pro for an M1 Mac Mini. I'm really satisfied with my decision. The M1 is fast as hell, and I've been switching between MacOS and Windows with a swipe of a finger on my mouse. After a bit of work, I got most games on Steam working, but I can't get Microsoft's Gamepass for PC to work quite right... but I know it's on my side, because I've read online about other people having no trouble with this.
I'm still playing Europa Universalis 4, and Tyranny (which is really great), but I haven't touched RDR2 or GTA5 for a while. I should really go back to those games. I started playing South Park: Stick of Truth, which is pretty hilarious, and, I have to admit, a good RPG.
I also played a bit of Axiom Verge. Great game. I'd like to play more retro indies. Maybe if I did, I'd get my old skills back. Yeah right.
Right now I'm reviewing an RPG on the Switch called CrisTales. Really neat time traveling mechanics. Axiom Verge is a great game! I reviewed it on the Wii U. Can't wait for the sequel!
I've been reading a lot of reviews of Cris Tales. It's gotten a lot of mixed reactions, but complain it tries too much and doesn't succeed despite it's lofty ideas. But... it's free on gamepass, so I should just play it.
Yeah after playing the game for a while, I can understand Cris Tales' mixed reviews. The demo made it look really good, though!
I'm thinking about upgrading my MacBook Air. I considered a Mac min, but when you figured in having to buy accessories for it I feel I would be better off with a MacBook. I also understand that the new Apple chips make a lot of IOS apps compatible with MacOS.
New Macbook Pros and maybe new Airs are coming this year, so I'd wait. I got a mini cause I didn't need a laptop... I use my iPad for things like that.
I'm thinking of replacing my now 12-year-old laptop. A Mac-whatever sounds really nice, and I've saved up enough so it won't kill me to get one. I'm not really sure what kinds of features I need right now. I'm almost out of doing things on PC for the most part. My phone does all my business and I'm a fully console based gamer. So I don't know.
