I'm chuckling, because I'm quite certain that as soon as you read "Scary" in the title, you probably peed a bit in your pants, Steve.

Your fear of all things remotely scary is well-documented in your 1Up blogspace =)

It only took them 2+ months.  For me personally, Skyrim's an afterthought now

thanks Big Cuevas, I appreciate your condolences.  When in doubt in a fps Team Deathmatch game mode, pick someone and follow them around.  Check the corners they don't check.  If your teammate starts camping, find another teammate.

Takes a long, long time to get good at Team Fortress 2....I've dumped a bunch of hours into it, and still suck.  Except when I'm a Heavy and am followed by a Medic.  That shit's POWERFUL.

almost forgot...

its also refreshing to see another person who enjoys working, moving, and killing as a group in shooters.  Even if the dumbass I'm following around is woefully ignorant that I'm tailing him, checking his corners....I'm still going to follow him around.  Meat shield!!!!!

I love TF 2.  Hands down, the greatest class-based shooter ever created.  I appreciate your sympathy dude....it's been hard on my family, especially my aunt.

It was really, really fun to go 39 kills 4 deaths the other night...i consider myself average to above average at shooters, so it was beautiful to be able to get a taste of what it feels like to be a Beast.

Support classes are kickass, and go grossly underappreciated.  Like you, I'm also content to keep my people alive.  Medics are the heart and soul of tf2....they keep us alive, able to move the cart a little bit further before we get snuffed.

Thanks for such a lengthy response dude....rarely am I ever engaged to this length here at PixlBit, by anyone.  It's nice to see someone else out in the community who'll throw down in a comment....

Excellent read.  Thankful for the MIA series, as I recently purchased a refurbed ps2.  Might go and grab the second Onimusha game tonight, after work.

Dammit, this sucks.  I'm a big fan of MegaTen and especially the Persona series.  Having never played the first two games, I was expecting this to be mroe of a srpg....but from the screens, it appears to have the look of Devil Survivor....just not as good.  Did you get it new?  How's the soundtrack that came packed in with it??

Oh not worried brother - I realize for sure that it could be a spicier read. Past few have been sorta droll, I need to flavor it up a bit. Its times like these I wish I had a working knowledge of screencap software and hardware. Most of the pictures you find on google for Dark Souls are the generic images we've been seeing for some time now.

Truth be told though...that game really does drain you as you play it. There are moments it's downright exhausting. I think I made like 30 consecutive attempts on the capra demon before i smote his ruin, lol.

Oh I nearly forgot....I also picked up the Humble Indie Bundle #4....more or less just for Super Meat Boy and Bit Trip Runner....I'll be throwing down on those titles, too. God bless Pay What You Want!!!!!

Vic, the stuff that Wheatley ALONE says makes Portal 2 a must-play! Let me know if you need a partner to take you through the co op, I'm 5 trophies away from the plat, wouldn't mind turning that dream into a reality lol

People at 1Up laughed a bit at me when I wrote a blog choosing Portal 2 as my GOTY.

How could it NOT be a strong candidate, at the very least? The game shipped with virtually no bugs, brought Steam crossplatform play to the ps3, and featured FREE dlc?

This game is how you do a sequel. Valve's still taking us to class, after over a decade of excellence. Good job, PixlBit editors and writers - you chose solid gold. Seems to me it's not too often that a puzzler beats out shooters and rpg's for GOTY.

you got to play it = i'm instantly jealous of you. there's lots of heads on the internet who're pretty reserved about being hyped for OCR. especially at Game Informer.

God, I HATE Game Informer.

as i understand it, the 1.3 patch isn't going to fix any of the lag issues with ps3 Skyrim.

Nice choices Vic. BTW - I issued a fervent plea for help, addressed to you, which you can find in my second third Death Is Fun blog....need your advice on PvP in Dark Souls man.

Nick!

1. What made you decide to start PixlBit? What do you hope to gain from its existence?

2. Would you ever consider getting some PixlBit bumper/window stickers made? If so, I'd fully rock one on my car, right next to the Portal "falling" sticker.

3. What do you enjoy about video games? Is it the playing of video games itself, or the culture, or all of it? Just curious.

4. Would you consider requirements for your site giveaways? More often than not the people who entered @ 1Up weren't anything close to regular contributors....they'd create contest entries in hopes of recieving swag, with no regard whatsoever to what they've contributed.

"Ask NOT what PixlBit can do for you....rather, ask what YOU CAN DO for PixlBit."

I like free shit as much as the next guy (I won about 100 bucks worth of free stuff over the summer @ 1Up in contests), but I also put my time in there. It sucks when someone snakes a prize package and never blogs or contributes to the site again. I'm of the mind that winning a prize would KEEP me at the site, hungry for more. Sadly, that's really not the case at 1Up - just go take a look at the plethora of Sonic blogs that abound currently. Lots have a single, shitty, unthoughtful paragraph.

I'm betting the standards here are higher. Either way, I think it's really cool that you folks jumped into the giveaway and contest facet quickly. Shows me that you appreciate the readers/writers, and sincerely want to give something back to us.

And an observation: your staff here ROCKS.

Tellus Blade....I knew you'd make your way here. Welcome!!!!

Published on December 14, 2011 - 2 minute read

thanks for the shout Big Cuevas!!! Even though I'm not on staff here, it's REALLY REALLY fun being a pioneer in the community at PixlBit. I like all the editors and staff here....they're informative, witty, and fully devoid of snarky bastardry that's become so commonplace among gane writers. Case in point: IGN. Those guys take shots at all sorts of people, and think they're sooooooooo cool. Greg Miller: with that haircut, you're about as cool as Donald Trump THINKS he is.

Looking forward to blogging here...if I can do anything to drum up a larger cast of users, let me know!

And on the kidney stones - I once listened to a speech about them in my comm class when I was still in college. I hope I never experience that kind of pain...hope you feel better. The ER in the States is a shithole, regardless where you go, so my hat's off to you for enduring all of this crap. Feel better, and drink H2O!!!!

just want to comment on motion controls....HATE THEM. It's why the Wii never got much play in my household.

the pending localized release of Xenoblade, however, has me rethinking. More than likely I'll be buying a used Wii....to play Xenoblade, as well as Luigi's Mansion. Vaccuuming ghosts looks like a fun time I can share with my wife and kid!!!
