This web series is going to go on my bookmark, thanks for the heads up!
Very nice, speaking of estrogen, hot and attractive singers, have you ever heard of the band Dead Sara? The singer Emily Armstrong has such a strong growl and raspiness to her voice, its just plain badass. They also sing some nice slow pieces that set a nice mood.
I also remember meeting the guys from "The Used" once because their band actually started here in Utah! I've never been much of a punk rocker, but I do love quite a bit of the music.
Keep up the posts man! I love how you break down their music when you describe them.
Ah good times.
I remember cruising around listening to metal all night. I'm a huge fan of Metallica, and I also listen to Nightwish pretty often.Iron Maiden has some classic songs I'm a huge fan of.
I'm interested in what you have in store for us next!
I actually do get quite a few challanges, and I train other martial artists on their kicks and footwork!
Kendo does seem very hard on your legs, I wish I could have practiced it more, but there seems to be a shortage of Kendo schools in my area.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked them.
I have quite a few precious memories in Taekwondo. Back at the height of my Taekwondo career, me and my teammates were actually considered top 10 in the state in terms of skill. I specialized in feints, and inside fighting. Because of my short height, I couldn't afford to try and duke it out with someone who could hit me first because he had longer legs. I became very good at dashing to close the distance, and I had to feint effectively in order to find opportunities to move in, or attack. What actually made me notorious was the fact that I could kick you in the head with only a foot of space between me and my opponent. I also scored many knockouts because I was good with counter kicks towards the head ( both opponents kick at the same time, but one person connects with a kick using their momentum, and your strength to give devastating strikes).
Kendo is a great martial art. You develop strong arm and back muscles, while strengthening your core to do more effective slashes. I did a bit of Kendo at one time, and even learned a bit of Fencing. Fun times indeed.
Thanks for the well thought out response!
Buddhism is very hard to learn when your environment doesn't permit it. Sure you can read a book, but it's not the same as learning how an individual translates it to their life. It's hard to describe, but Buddhism is more of a way of life than an actual religion. The only religion that fully embraces human nature, and is, ironically, deeply rooted in a pseuydo mythology/science. There is no god in Buddhism, but that doesn't mean your not allowed to believe in one, or more.
I skipped many classes when I was in High school, but I always found myself in incredibly ridiculous situations. I would, just like you, often go to a park, or even just cruise around. I'll talk more about those experiences in future entries.
I didn't have too many problems in school itself, but people were afraid of me because of the bruises, and bandages I often came to school in. There were times where ended up in fights that were a bit too much for me, but I learned my lesson, and became stronger because of it.
I'm surprised by how rich my experiences during those years were. I really did do a lot of things.
Thanks for the read, there's only more to come.
Wow, I love stories like this. I'm actually going back and remembering all the years I was reckless and angry and music was the only thing keeping me from completely breaking down into a worthless mess.
You've inspired me to write a new blog entry sir! Hopefully you'll come and take a look into it.
Being a sushi chef is good fun. The only part I hate is going home smelling like raw fish.
As much as I love the taste, the smell isn't as appealing....
Haha, no, I live in Ogden, Utah. The first song sounds familiar because one of the samples I used in the song is from a Zelda song called Gerudo Valley. I used tons of other samples from other orchestral instances and made something presentable. Although I take no credit and make no money from that song. It's simply for listening pleasure. I never sell any of the songs I make from samples, simply because lawsuits ARE NOT FUN.
Thanks for checking out my stuff though, I really appreciate that you took the time to listen to some of them.
This was a great read. I was actually fiddling with the idea of writing a blog about art in video games after beating a particular game, Fragile Dreams.
Since you've written a well thought out idea of art in video games, I I'll do a different idea that rides on the same line.
Looking forward to more :D
Interesting read, do you speak japanese fluently?
Love this series, I may pick this up a little later when I get the chance.
Awesome man. I'll check it out sometime. It is a great series so far though, I can't believe I never decided to pick them up till now. I think I'll check out the CG movie when it comes out too, I find the story to be intriguing.
Thank you!
I agree, I almost regret starting it because now I have to actually take the time to finish ALL of them.....
Sometimes I write out my notes, but usually I find it easier to play around with melodies until the intended idea comes out. I use a mix of sythesized instruments and recorded samples, and the programs I use heavily are FL studio and reason.
Thanks for checking out my stuff!
I loved this game! I still fondly remember playing this for hours trying to muscle my way through dungeons. That and Custom Robo. Poured hours into those games.
Good times indeed.
Anytime! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
Working at a restaurant has its ups and downs, but it's a fun experience overall. Monster Hunter is a great series, although I've only played Tri for a few hours, it's definately not a game for the casual. Battles are long, and monsters that you hunt are pretty damn tough. A great game if your willing to sit down for a while.
The Crystal Chronicles that I own are Crystal Bearers and Echo's of Time. Crystal Bearers is actually more fun than the reviews make it out to be. Echo's of Time is fun, but has some problems that hold it back. I used to have the gamecube one actually, but I ended up selling it later on.
Ok, now on to Fragile Dreams. What made Fragile Dreams so endearing was the fact that it felt human. You go around finding items and your main character Seto can read the last memories on them. It ranges from suicide, regrets, and love. One example is there is one memory that a couple decides to get married, even though they know they are going to die. They want to make one last happy memory. Stuff like that....lots of stuff like that. If that doesn't get to you, your just not a compassionate person ;)
So give it a try, and thanks for reading my blog.
That Playstation 4 picture just made my day.
I could also argue that we don't actually have islands floating in the sky, but it's ok, because its Zelda. Oh and I really like Fi. The fact that she treats you like an idiot matches her persona.
Aha! Clever. I was about to question how ridiculous this article sounded until I was assured that this was a joke. Toushe Kathrine....Toushe >:)
Although Piracy is not a good thing, its not as bad as people make it out to be, at least I don't think so in my unprofessional opinion. Although I do believe piracy needs to be limited, it has never been been the cause of any developer to close their doors.
When I was younger, I used to pirate games and the few that were great I ended up buying. For example, who's played Arcanum? Wonderful game, and probably my most favorite CRPG of all time. I've probably bought the game at least 3 times.
Many websites seem to be at threat with this bill, and could hurt the consumer market for online buying. Seriously, this bill is so ambiguous with its specifications that I still had no idea what it was referring to most of the time, and this is after reading the first 40 pages. Or perhaps I'm just terrible at understanding law.
And weeeell, my main point is this.....I would be sad if some of my favorite websites got shutdown or seriously gimped such as Newgrounds, Youtube, and your very own Pixlbit. {T-T}
An interesting read, the future looks somewhat dark and depressing....
Really? Isn't Fortune Street a huge mashup of several video game franchises? And its actually fun?
Damn, maybe I should give it a try....
I honestly don't care if there is a timeline or not. Although I do find it interesting on how Nintendo is tying it all together. As long as they make great games, then I will continue to enjoy the series.
LIIIIIIINK IIIIIIIIN SPAAAAAAAAACE!
I second this idea.
