...Yeah, what princess toadstool said.

I always found Old Lara despite her exaggereated proportions to have a sense of cool not seen since the Fonz. Seeing her realistic look did make me do a double take; made me wonder if they ever make a realistic Mario game...

So is raiding tombs not the 'thing to do' anymore? We gotta go nitty gritty and nasty? The proof is in the gameplay , we'll find out next March.

Yeah I was going to say I saw a Predator vibe too.Though why not hold this title back for launch of Microsoft's next system?

Great news for the employees. Though not so great for the citizens of Rhode Island who may have to foot the 75 million dollar bill (thank you governor!) for the next decade or so.

Don't forget the bit where Matt Stone and Trey Parker were plugging the Southpark RPG, at MS's expense. Smart Glass? Meet smart ass(es)...

Good guide. I learned quite a bit.

I'm still skeptical on the AH. Seems any item worth getting is way overpriced; how can anyone afford the million plus gold some of these items go for? Maybe I'm doing it wrong... I wouldn't be surprised if they tweak the Blacksmith in a future patch, so that they remain competitive with the auction house.

Since we don't have a centralized forum, I'll go ahead and shamelessly plug my battletag.  Its Mongoose#1546. You'll know its me if I have a monk named GoldenArms and demon hunter named Desdemona as of this writing. Hit me up if you want smash/farm whatever.

Wouldn't be surprised if that undisclosed settlement was at least half of what West and Zampella were asking for.

Maybe Activision didn't want to drag this out, scaring off investors?

"Silicon Knights also stated this caused repeated delays in their attempt to create their own game, Too Human, which utilized Unreal technology."

I think Silicon Knights should have kept their original idea for Too Human, as a detective, cyber-punk noir. They can't blame Epic for X-men destiny...

Eternal Darkness 2? Looks like we'll need a refresher, as in a re-release of the original...

Interesting review that gives a general outline of the game. The details, like any Blizzard game, will be patched/buffed/nerfed over time, so today's monk won't be the same monk a few months from now...

I'm surprised that you didn't mention the auction house. Granted, as of this writing the Real Money auction isn't live, but it is worth mentioning your experience with the Gold auction nonetheless.

I've seen this on other forums, but could this be an experiment for another way to pay for the Microsoft's next system?

"I have said this before, but the following words need to be banned from game titles: Origins, Ultimate, Reckoning, Revenge, Retribution, and Legends."

That should be a drinking game. Go through your game collection, for every game that has these words, take a shot. You may want to have someone with a phone in hand, 911 on speed dial just case you take more shots you can handle.

But yeah, nothing like getting a second chance. Though I've seen on othe forums bitching about the lack of Beyond of Good and Evil 2. Something about the game being held hostage...(We'll see how Origins sells...ok let's see how Legends does..)

*ahem*

If you're want to get some Xenoblade HD action, someone's got you covered.

its a work in progress,so take that for what its worth. Of course, there's the whole ISO/ROM issue, so yeah, don't condone piracy, buy the game, let NOA know you give at least one #$#@, you know the drill.

14 years is a long time to be doing something. Heck, there's probably some veiwers who aren't old enough to remember his debut...

there's always streaming media though. So can we count on Pixl Bit to pick up the slack. A video live show? Just sayin'..

The Kaz is not amused.

That's the breaks. Other competitors have brought HDTV to the masses at a mass market price, and Sony missed the boat. 3DTV just isn't here yet, I can point you to a relatively inexpensive glasses free 3d device...

Its tough when you hear people getting laid off en masse. Hopefully they can bounce back ASAP.

"the title bears no relation to their past work, Killer 7..."

But that doesn't mean that some obscure references and easter eggs releated to Killer7 aren't out of the picture.  =)

Now what if they had a bonus where you donate x amount of dollars, you get to date a woman that looks like the women featured in Leisure Suit Larry? The kingdom of Nerdom would break their banks, piggy banks, break legs to people who owe them money for that opportunity.

Psst...Sega, I got an idea to slow the finacial bleeding.

There's this dude, right? Name's Yu Suzuki, some big timer from back in the day, He's looking to buy this IP called Shenmue. You know, the game about sailors and stuff? Yeah, he's itching to buy, said money was no object...

The 'circle of life'? *cue Elton John track*

No doubt publishers came whining to Sony/Microsoft (No one's reported that Nintendo plans to implement this sort of thing) about used games; 'wahhhh, used games are killing our profits, we need to shake down customers for money, our online passes and excessive DLC isn't cutting it, do something,waaaahhh.....'

While I believe they have this sort of tech, doubtful they'll implement it.

Happy 25th Square! You throwing a big party?

....

What's that? Yu are? And the music is from all the FFs? Nice? What do I need to bring?

...I have to bring more money, otherwise the band won't play EVERY single song from FF history? Couldn't I just buy a FFV/FFVI re-release?

...What do you mean that takes effort? But you're only 25 once!

...Fine, fine, I'll see if I can make it. No gurantees though. Money's tight. The economy and all...

the mobile games are hitting a wider demographic, since more people own a smartphone/tabet than ever.   Add the price/value and volume, bake for a few years and you got a recipie for money pie. Now who wants a piece?

*publishers raise hands*

While most of these titles range from dubious, to average, with standouts like Angry Birds, Words with Friends, Draw Something, etc, you've got people gaming who would otherwise scoff at being labeled a gamer.

The hardcore gaming community doesn't have to fret yet. Until you can get your Call of Duty/Madden on iOS/Andriod, expect your 59.99 update title to still sell over 1 million in a matter of minutes. Publishers won't ignore that money.

I can imagine finacially savvy investors basically ROTFL at these campaigns. Like the editorial mentions, they mainly 'go for what they know' because at the end of the day they want ROI (Return Of Investment.) ASAP. We've become a set of creditors where we expect (finacially) nothing in return. There's a term for that. Its called being a 'sucker.'  There's no legally binding contract, but there are a ton of witnessess...

Sure, when you donate, you get certain perks, according to how much you donate, but as the article mentions, what if they project is still born? On the flipside, what if its a smashing success? They turn 3 million into 30 million? Wouldn't you want a piece of that action besides a free copy of the game?

Granted with the internet watching, someone taking the money and running to the Cayman Islands is highley unlikely.
