I caught wind of the series young but it never did anything for me, but after years of staring at the half naked Robot chick with a gun I watched it as an adolecent and it was one of the only anime after Evangelion that actually made me think a little. I can understand why youu may have found it dull, it's a slow, procedural and methodical film.
But even if I i take off the nostagia googles for the Original film, this story has been done to death, I'm privy to questions like "how far is too far for scientific human advanced?" the problem is, it's reduced to "stealling random people, taking out their brains and creating new memories and bodies to be different people, duh!", the movie gave an over-simplified answer to what should be a complex question.
I suppose i'm jaded from over exposure to everything that came before it, it didn't necessarily needed to say something new but it could have delievered it differently or better yet, not at all.
You really, REALLY need to watch Blade Runner and and the Matrix, Blade Runner particularly handled this stuff far more effectively and for better or worse defined the Neo-futuristic dystopia troupes we know and love and handles the concept of what makes humanity far better, and it wisely doesn't give you a "happy ending".
I was personally fine with the stiltedness of either, it adds to the characters overall detachment, I feel. mind You even Transformers does well in Asia so... :P
Each are Highly regarded for diferent reasons, it's mostly context.
GITS and Bebop can be considered on all fronts the highest of standards. However out of all the ones you've mentioned Bebop has the most polish.
DB is 1 of the longest running Action Anime not involving robots (interms of how long it's been going now.). Most western viewers have never seen animation so chaotic and bombastic.
Eva and Akira, is more to do with Artistic merit, spectackle, if you will. These 2 are the most flawed but most ambitious (maybe).
They are staples of Anime, Akira from what I understand was the true Kickstart to what anime is today, the one that truely captured the culture. It's the Watchmen or Citezen Kane of Anime, at least in terms of importants or impact. Read the Manga, if you're interested in it's missing content.
Watch Ninja Scroll if you aready haven't.
Late 80s and 90s Anime is a time capsule that can never be recaptured.
The Style of Cowboy Bebop is very much like Bebop, sparadic, spontaneous yet it has structure, keep an eye out for all the referencess, to this day I see a new one randomly.
It is one of the Greatest Series.
I need to get a PS4 before I play this game, But I bought the Premium edition for when the Pro drops in price. The Artbook and Bag are the best parts.
I'm goiing to get one but the price for the Pro is too much and if I did get this game after, the premium edition will be gone like disco. There's a soundtrack, cat toy, art book and bag. The bag is really nice
If I ignore the ballads (I have noting good to say about the ballads), there was a lot more diversity in terms of genre, and it all felt like novelty acts but they knew what they where.
The decade as a whole I like to call "the dark ages" but also a sort of renaissance for music,
I remember 90s pop as "harmless". Nostagia goggles I guess
Congrates, I only use my Laptop for bedside browsing and work rather than gaming now, but still capable after 5 years.
I miss the 90s music, even the weak stuff was memorable.
i haven't even got into the Train strikes that used to go on during the time, awkward.
I'll give that pinky thing a go.
You got lucky with Nikon lenses they are more expensive on average, at work there's a 100mm Macro lens with Image Stabaliser worth £500 (maybe $800-$700?). We a 55-300 lens at work for sale, I may end up buying that before I leave.
Yes. the Bass is just as good and the vocals are sharper. I currently have both, a thing you should know about the Powerbeats 3 is they sound exactly the same.
I read a little on the phenomina of the brain actting before the body when I started researching this, it's very interesting.
I heard that a lot, Nikon was more impressive when they where digital (they technically are better due to them having better sensors in general), but the recording function isn't as good or the lenses either. canonlenes have become extorttionate over the years though
I can't nap, if I do that during the after noon I find it harder to sleep.
Gotta be honest, it's the only reason, i'm getting a ps4, it looks slick!
'glad i'm not the only one.
I hate seeing for that, Jackman played the charracter well for so many years that this film leaves a mark but in a way it was the right way to end, even Logan at the end gets some closure.
We never got the cameo in Britain, I was well disapointed
I suppose it was slow for new comers
Lego Batman, Is up there with Phantasm and The Dark knight
I heard good things about Split.
Moonlight deserved that Oscar compared to La La Land.
As possible!
It's a good time to start
I just Steambought that game, I never got to play this beyond a brief Demo.
Cool dog
I think you're doing the right thing.
as SF4 went on making the combos, cancels and frames more liberal improved a lot of that game from the original inception.
The only time SFV feels good is in V-Trigger, but at the moment yeah, sluggish is right.
So far DC are on a winner, things don't feel as forced and more cohesive, unlike marvel right now but that's another can of worms. I don't have a favourite yet but Nightwing, Batman, Detective, Wonder woman are really good.
I thhink I still have CapvSNK2 on the Cube, man that game was something else.
I find GG more mystyle to BB, funny though, technically setups in BB games are similar in execution to SFV yet I have a better handle on that gam.
I need to get back into GG, I didn't get my Soundtrack and game signed for Nothing!
My Oolder Brother gives me the same story, for me, Tekken 3. But then you'll always remember your Favourite Arcade game
I'm fin on the Roster, getting some of the SF3 characters is cool too.
