Wow, that's a ton. Mine is probably up there, these are just games I own or want to buy before adding more to my list lol. At least we will always have something to blog about, amirite?
I know right? I was typing the list out and was like, "I can't admit I haven't played that" lol. I'm probably going to add to this list after I clear some off too lol.
Thanks, same.
I can see the validity of both sides of the argument. On one hand, I love playing video games and will continue to do so for the rest of my days most likely. On the other, I don't gain anything from gaming outside of entertainment and, when my metabolism slows down, weight lol. Sure - I'm sure my eye-hand coordination is decent because of it but outside of a skyrocketing achievement score I haven't really learned a new skill that has benifitted me or achieved anything meaningful. If you spend the time you play videogames doing something like taking up karate or learning to computer program or something you end up with a new skill. Regardless, we choose to spend our time this way and we enjoy what we do so it doesn't matter if someone doesn't agree with us.

I generally go to Gametrailers, Eurogamer, and this site for my gaming news and recreation lol, sick music set up by the way dude.
The above post is me lol.
True, I actually really enjoyed XII. A lot of people really hate it which kind of baffles me but eh, to each their own.
Great article, I agree with most of your points. Cloud (Old Cloud not Advent Children emo Cloud) is one of my favorite characters, but I agree that Nomura needs a rest.
Two things that I want to point out, while I agree that choice is important in a video game and that armor customization would be awesome in Final Fantasy - I am getting tired of the Bioware conversation tree formula. In fact, I have begun specifically playing games like Tales of Vesperia because sometimes a linear story is great. Sure having conversation trees with your party members makes you care more about them and should be embraced but for the main story arc - sometimes I just want to be surprised.
Secondly, I'm not so hot on the ATB system. Sure they could add more animations for the same attack, but how many are they really going to add? Enough that I still don't wish I could skip past it in a 70+ hour game? Watching combat and clicking through menus just seems so passive to me. One of the greatest rpgs of this generation, Dragon Age Origins, nailed it perfectly where combat was still slow enough that you could appreciate the fight and yet involved enough that you were constantly switching tactics, fighting with different weapons and armor, and bringing different party members to compliment the situation.
I believe the South Park game is still in coming out basically on time. It got picked up immediately during the THQ sale.
Haha this was hilarious!
Yeah I could agree with that score. Although, mine would be higher because since I really enjoyed the gameplay. Just started ZOE:2
Thanks!
Never played this one, I really enjoy games like this though. They could add in multple player support al Aegis Wing too which would be awesome!
I have been meaning to try this out. I like card games but Magic has always seemed to have a high barrier of entry.
Yeah, I enjoyed myself a ton. I am thinking about purchasing it used. I don't know if I like it enough to buy it new.
I found myself really enjoying Jak because he was really unique and then Raiden was my other go to but he is really OP.
Yeah, my buddy was showing me there was a level up progression system but he said after level 10 its pointless because you have basically unlocked everything.
Yeah, I just feel like in Smash your character is generally an incredably flashy color so it's harder.
YES! YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES! @sneenlantern- I recently picked up the HD collection. They are still a ton of fun. On the hardest difficulty setting, I was hurtling around the map - constantly dodging enemy missiles and special attacks, while firing off moves of my own. It is definitely one of the most exhilarating action games on the market - even over 10 years after it's release!
Lol, what system is this on?
To be completely honest, my interest in the series died at the end of AC2. The spin off games never piqued my interest and though I bought AC3 I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would giving it's setting. They could definitely do with resting this franchise for a couple years and doing a major overhaul.
Great game list, I've been buying a bunch myself from the 360 game sale week! Crash Bandicoot was my favorite game for the PS1 btw!
I'm surprised I actually have most of these on my ipod. Really interesting peace!
Yeah, I'm the same way. I was more commenting on how some people in the public reacted it its exclusion rather than the fact that it was there in the first place. I would love to be able to play a game that had mature content in it that afterward allowed you to see it from a different perspective or come away with a certain message. However, I'm not sure the inclusion of that scene by Crystal Dynamics initially was to do that. I think they were trying to sell the fact that Lara is so attractive that this jungle bandit can't keep his hands off of her.
