Great episode guys. Loving every episode. Upset I missed last weeks Stage Select but it's been hectic here. This weeks tough but an excellent topic. I'll have to think about it. I'll probably put some down now but if I get to really thinking about them, I'm sure I'll change it up.

Stage Select:

3. SA-X (Metroid Fusion): Metroid has always made Samus the strong badass bounty hunter. Fusion makes her very vulnerable and the prey to be hunted by a mirror copy of herself. Except this version is scary and relentless. Your first glimpse of SA-X is shortly after you take an elevator ride down. The scene stays there a moment longer then usual when the SA-X breaks into the scene fully suited in Samus's iconic armor. It turns to look at the player and a quick cutscene let's you look into the cold lifeless eyes of the deadly parasite. It'll be a pain in your ass for hours to follow.

2. Green (Gunstar Heroes): Gunstar Heroes has some fun bosses but none are as cool as Greens Seven Force Mech. Gunstar Heroes does a thing before every boss battle, the calm before the storm, where it tells you the bosses name and throws you a list of its attacks. While you're riding the train rails, you see the words, "The Boss is Approaching." Then you see it rattle off one form, then another, then another until it lists all 7 and you're wondering what the hell is about to go down? Your old friend Green comes flying out and jumps into air as his Mech forms around him and the battle begins.

1. Dante (Devil May Cry): When it comes to character introductions, few do it better than Capcoms Devil May Cry series. There's probably a dozen excellent choices throughout the series but I'll go with the original. Your first intro to Dante shows him casually speaking to the woman who just literally broke through his front door. She proceeds to attack him and uses his giant sword against him by impaling him then shocking him. She tosses her motorcycle at him and he laughs it off by pulling out his signature pistols and blowing it away. Next scene he's pulling out that sword still in his chest and continues keeping his cool. I can't recall any other character intro that made me smile like that.

Cage Match: The amount of shit that the Assassins Creed series keeps trying to shovel down our throats with their insane interconnected plot could only be handled by a licensed plumber with decades of experience. I think we all know at least one....

Loved the latest show. Always appreciate great guests. I hope more people jump on board. Especially glad this gave me a chance for Stage Select.

Divinity Original Sin 2: Rivellon

youtube.com/watch?v=byxTuIO6XT0

I tried going with songs that aren't so popular. Sure everyone loves Frogs Theme and I could easily go with Chrono Cross but here's a song from one of my Game of the Generation. Playing Divinity OS2 with this song playing made it felt so epic.

Dragalia Lost: Bokurano Network (Off Vocal)

youtube.com/watch?v=3Fzw_3q0jtE

This one's from a mobile Nintendo game and I can't recall how I heard it since I don't play that game but here it is. I switch from epic adventure to something that just brings a smile to my face for some reason. Maybe I should try the game.

Cage Match: Chrono Cross wins. It has better music, more characters to throw in the ring, double if you include alternate dimensions, you don't need to draw spells for 5 hours to use them, and I named someone Bret after the Hitman Hart and everyone knows that he's the best the ever is Yada Yada Yada and instantly wins. KO

Glad to have you guys back. Great episode despite Julian's concerns.

Stage Select:

3. Devil May Cry: Sure there's plenty of disfunction in this one but there's also something else deeper. Some form of underlying respect between Dante and Vergil. They put aside their issues when things get bad and they always work out their issues with a sparring session that they both can't get enough of. Then you add Nero and some surrounding friends and it's a pretty cool family.

2. Final Fantasy X: Overall the group seems close enough to be considered family but I'm mostly looking at Auron and Tidus here. He starts like a good uncle but also seems more like a father figure for a young man who needs guidance. He's also a complete badass so that is a bonus.

1. Mass Effect: To be honest this list could change if I could recall many families in games but I know Mass Effect would make this list. You become so attached to your crew that it's hard to part with them by the time the game ends. I still wonder what became of them after the ending and hope to see some great things when the new one releases.

Cage Match: I could do research but I'm not. I assume Castlevania has a Belmont as it's main character. Belmonts kill dead things all the time. As we all know Quest 64 literally died in its 1st Match and some necromancy brought it back to basically die again in a 2nd Match. I see no reason why Belmont doesn't kill this thing off for good or at the least seal it away for 1000 years or whatever like every incarnation of Dracula that gets stopped by a Belmont.

Great episode guys. Looking forward to more next gen talk next time on Justin's Demons Souls chronicles. Gonna take a deep look and be honest with myself to see what is my top 3. Got to comment in Cage Match though while I think.

Stage select:

3. Divinity Original Sin 2: This game had so many options and ways to play. I absolutely loved it and constantly think about it. It's probably more impactful because I enjoyed it with 3 other friends and we had a blast. I am impatiently waiting for Bulders Gate 3 which is made by the same studio.

2. Chrono Cross: My original number 1 game. I still love this game and hope to see it remastered or something like some other lesser known Square games they've announced recently. My dream would be another sequel but I don't think it'll happen.

1. Dark Souls 2: This game is generally looked down upon by the souls community for some reason. I can't explain why I love it so much but it's my favorite Souls game to revisit. I recently replayed Demons Souls on PS3 and it jumped up high on my list so it's possible the remake can take my top spot one day. That's if I can ever find a PS5.

Cage Match: Quest 64.... really... really!? I was there when it was literally, yes I'm saying literally, killed in the ring. Unless it came back as everyone's favorite Dead Man, the Undertaker, than there's no way this match is even happening. Chex Quest is cereal and cereal is inevitable. Sure it's kind of crappy cereal but it has guns or something.

P.S. Justin, Quest 64 doesn't deserve a second chance. It's like saying Val Venis deserves another chance and nobody wants that.

Damn this Stage Select is really awesome but it's so hard to remember some of them and even harder to find some online. Just typing [Insert Game Title] Game Over scene doesn't always work.

Stage Select: Game Over

3. Street Fighter 2: I used to love the beat up faces of fighters after you got done beating down your friend. I don't know if this trend has continued since I don't remember any past Street Fighter 2 despite playing up til 4.

2. Dead Space Series: Not sure if this counts but damn does Issac have some horrible deaths in that game. They are gruesome and as definitive as Game Over as you can get. Bonus points to the new Tomb Raider trilogy for also throwing some of these horrible deaths in.

1. Chrono Cross: It isn't flashy but it was the one that popped into my head first. A somber tone played with a message from the narrator saying, "Fate has no forgiveness for those who date stand against it." I didn't see it very much but the few times I did, stuck with me. This list would most likely be totally different if I could recall every Game Over screen I've seen but I think these did them well. Also lets give a shout out to the Super Meat Boys/Celeste game overs in the world which are quick and painless.

Cage Match: It has to be Dante. It's freaking Dante. Sure it kinda isn't Dante in this one but it's Dante.

Published on March 17, 2021 - 2 minute read

Stage Select:

3. Nino (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade) She's from the first GBA Fire Emblem and is my favorite from the series. I hardly recalled her story since I was younger when I played it but Fire Emblem Heroes made her such a powerhouse that I went back to understand her origins. She had a very sad and endearing journey and still pushes forward.

2. Auron (Final Fantasy X) Auron is undoubtedly the cool one in Final Fantasy X but it's earned. His calm and collected nature is a great opposite of Tidus's whiny and emotional nature. Auron helps shape him into a better man and the revelation of Auron is one of my favorite moments in games.

1 Tali'Zorah (Mass Effect series) I absolutely adore Tali. She was immediately my love interest except Bioware wouldn't allow it. She was always in my party and I'm so glad she's one of the few who was available in all 3 games. Luckily Bioware fixed their mistake and allowed her to be a love interest in ME2.

Cage Match: My heart REALLY wants to go with Tetris but I have to be realistic. Mario Bros. & Co. make a living out of breaking blocks with their heads and asses. I don't see how Tetris has a shot.... Unless! Tetris blocks get smart and start coming from the right and smash their sorry asses into the wall. Yeah let's go with that. Tetris baby!

Stage Select:

3. Bloodborne: I loved the winter atmosphere of Bloodborne. It helped make an otherwise dark and gothic game appear much more serene. At least until something tries killing you.

2. Dark Souls: Pretty sure it was snow in Dark Souls 3 but at one point you return an area from the original game but it's much more ruined and snowy. Seeing the bright and golden land that you remeber from the origianl be a destroyed snowy wasteland is really cool. It's also is home to maybe my favorite fight of the series. I should note that Dark Souls 2 has a place in the bottom of hell for worst snow area ever. That may be a topic for another day.

1. Silent Hill: I think it's snow but I think the movie said it was ash. Who knows. I'll just say it's snow and the idea of a foggy, snowy, almost desolate city is was an awesome place to put the game.

Cage Match: Area 51 has to win. It's freaking aliens! i don't think people understand the concept that if these beings can create technology to travel through space on a whim, they have to be thousands of years past the nuclear bombs we made decades ago. I'm sure they have dildos using more power than our atom bombs at their point in technology.

Its an amazing movie that got overshadowed by Your Name since they both came out the same year. It's one of those few movies that hit me hard emotionally. Check a trailer and if you are interested I highly recommend since its on Netflix.

Published on December 4, 2020 - 3 minute read

Stage Select:

1: Giving my daughter a good time out. We were supposed to take her to Disney this year, something we've been promising for a few years. We missed a Winter Wonderfest last year and will again this year. Halloween, her birthday party, bowling and so much more. Shes honestly isn't complaining but I know how much she loves these things.

2: I think I'll have to cheat a bit and I'd have to pick the Rocky/Creed series. It practically doesn't matter which one. I will watch anyone you put in front of me, yes even Rocky 5. But if I'm narrowing it to a more recent one, A Silent Voice is one of my absolute favorites. Currently on Netflix if anyone is interested in animated movies.

3: Definitely the NES. I remember playing that system when I was 3 with the controller upside down. I continued playing that way until I got a Sega Genesis for Christmas. I have never took a break from gaming all these years.

4: I love music but I don't really lock it down to albums. I may have to go with Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park. It's definitely something I look back on fondly when I remember long road trips and blasting my CD player too damn loud.

5: Tacostand! I'd be one of those taco food trucks with the Sombrero on top that way I got a cool hat when I transform. But it has to also have banners so I got an old west style poncho that flows in the wind.

6: I buy shoes when I find them on a good sale. I'm not picky as long as they aren't stupid looking. Costco was selling some solid looking shoes for $6 so I bought a black and grey pair. Bought some simple hiking style boots there for $20ish dollars a few months ago. So I don't have a set time.

Cage Match: I feel like all the triple techs would be too much for the FF crew to handle. Then there's always time travel and Crono looks a bit like Goku so probably has as much power as him so Chrono Trigger for the win.

Published on November 9, 2020 - 2 minute read

Damn I'm having a harder time thinking about dogs than I thought I would. Here's my list.

Stage Select:

 3. D-Dog (Metal Gear Solid 5): the dog has an eyepatch! That immediately makes him awesome. He's a great companion and is amazing on the field.

2. Amaterasu (Okami) the dog is the goddess of the Sun. She has multiple kick ass weapons, and looks badass with all those markings. Definitely the strongest dog in my list.

1. Sif (Dark Souls): so technically a wolf but that counts right? Sif is the size of whale and holds a legendary blade in its mouth as a weapon. This boss is a pain in the ass but ill forgive it for being so bad ass.

Cage Match: while I'm absolutely loving Persona 5, I have to go with Final Fantasy X. As much as I'm loving the Persona cast, Lulu is one of my favorite characters in games.

Published on October 17, 2020 - 2 minute read

Hope I'm not too late.

Stage Select:

Cainhurst Castle (Bloodborne): Not necessarily scary but it sure as hell looks haunted and has dangerous creatures roaming around. This level has been described as 3D Castlevania done right and I agree.

Silent Hill: It's more than a house but there's bound to be some crazy ass scary house there. I love going to Silent Hill.

Himuro Mansion (Fatal Frame): This is my favorite haunted house in gaming. Granted I haven't tried the two other sequels but I own them all. I played this one and it was really freaky. Running around with a Camera and having to stare those ghosts in the face is terrifying.

Cage Match: I have to go State of Decay 2. Left 4 Dead only has like 4 people alive so State of Decay has more humans so more brain power. Although brains are what makes zombies stronger probably so maybe Left 4 Dead. Screw this I'm just using basic math. 4 is great than 2 so Left 4 Dead wins.

Alright awesome episode guys. I forget how you all actually sound when I have to play a podcast at normal speed lol. That NWP intro is way better when played at normal speed.

Stage Select:

3. The Tetris Square: I'm probably one of the last ones you want to show up when it's game time but too bad I'm already there.

2. Riku from Kingdom Hearts: Definitely more of a loner but will always be there when you need me most.

1. Cave Johnson from Portal 2: I don't have the reckless destructive ambition of Cave Johnson but I'm definitely someone who will say something completely off the wall and make you think three times about wtf I just said. I never mind being the clown of a group and will gladly make myself seem totally insane just so those around me can get some good laughs.

Stage Select: I'm going Fallout 4, because someone has to stop Parvati. She seems all innocent and makes you want to protect her but she's one of those cats that make you infected to where you feel obligated to take care of them. Screw that. Atom bomb that woman ASAP!

Published on September 4, 2020 - 3 minute read

I finally got myself a gaming PC so I can actually think more about this stuff.

Stage Select:

Dante in Dark Souls: I want to mod Devil May Crys Dante into the Souls games. Make all those damn bastards pay for ever even looking my way. Having Dante wreck their shit in mere seconds would be so satisfying.

Mass Effect into The Sims: Now that the galaxy is safe, the Citadel decides they will pull a Cerberus and resurrect Shepard. Now i get to live out my quiet life with Tali and have all the babies. Shepard gets to work or be locked in the bathroom or whatever it is Sims do. I actually don't know since I've never played The Sims but this would intrigue me to try it.

Nintendo Kart: Let's get some other properties into Mario Kart. They have played with the idea by adding Link, Isabelle, and others but how about Samus, Fox, Kirby or Mr. Peanut? I'm pretty sure Donkey Kong had peanuts or something.

Quick Saves!: Finally, mod damn quick saves into every game. Why aren't quick saves in every damn thing? I don't always have time to hit your checkpoint and I don't 100% trust my console to stay on in rest mode.

Cage Match: Dig Dug has alliteration on its side but its also just the same damn word with present and past tenses. Mr. Do has that air of professionalism to me but also reminds me of Scooby Doo. I was never a fan of Scooby-Doo. But that reminds me of a quote from the great Homer Simpson, "Scooby-Doo can doo doo but Jimmy Carter is smarter." If he's as smart as advertised than Jimmy Carter can probably take them both out. But I think I'm getting off track. Dig Dug has practically dug his own grave so Mr. Do for the win I guess.

This year has definitely felt insane like its bending time. During that time I've been working on some backlog stuff.

Stage Select:

During the early stages of this year I began Sekiro. Being a hard-core Souls fan I couldn't forgive myself for giving up on this last year. I finally reloaded it and started again. A month or so later and I had one of the greatest feelings ever in defeating that damn final boss.

My family and I got super into Animal Crossing New Horizons for a few months. Its died down drastically but I'm sure I'll boot it up later.

I've tried some stuff on game pass such as Grounded. Went back to Slay the Spire to actually slay the damn Spire (still not completed yet). Golf With Your Friends has been a fun goofy experience. We also got back into Minecraft for a few weeks which was fun.

I started Persona 5 Royal and am enjoying it so far but definitely need to get more time on it because its so damn long. Also finally installed Diablo 3 on Switch but haven't gotten far yet. Still a great game.

Stage Select: Well.... ummm.... Star Wars... I guess I heard that anything from the last 30 years or something wasn't canon so ill go with what is. So 2017 for the win.

I too love my Switch. I just bought Return of the Obra Dinn on the Argentina store shop for $12 so I'm ready to give it a go.

Great show again guys. Love having Angelo around a bit more lately. Really wish Patrick could have joined in also. There were some real good launch picks in there that completely flew over my head. How did I forget the OG Mario Bros lol?

Looks like Gameboy is getting some love so I'll continue that trend in Stage Select

Stage Select:

My absolute favorite game gift memory happened in the early 90s. I couldn't have been older than 5 when I came out of school and hopped into the car. My mom handed me a black case. I wasn't sure what it was but I saw the word Gameboy and she told me to open it.

Inside was an OG, practically new, Gameboy with 12 games neatly packed into a Gameboy case. I honestly dont think I knew what a Gameboy was at the time but I immediately knew that I had a portable gaming device and I jumped for joy.

The reason I had received this gift was because my mom found it at a yard sale. Unfortunately, the lady who sold it to her had lost her son recently and didn't know what else to do with his stuff. I know it couldn't have been easy but the lady sold it all for $100 and told my mom that knowing it would make another child happy would make her feel a little better.

I can testify that that gift was responsible for hundreds of hours of enjoyment and smiles. I have never not had a portable gaming device since that day. To this day Portables still hold a deep place in my heart and I dont know how'd I live without them.

Cage Match: Did I ever mention that I hate Donkey Kong? I dont know why but I do. I played the original arcade game, the SNES ones and even enjoyed them but I hate Donkey Kong. I think it may stem from his stupid taunt in Super Smash Bros where he raises his hands and shakes his head. As if he's quoting Steve Urkel saying, "Did I do that?" in that voice that makes you want to smack him in the face. So I'm going with whatever caused him more pain. I'm going to assume that a tropical freeze would destroy his supply of bananas so that would hopefully cause him to starve to death. So I'm going with that. Yup...

Published on July 4, 2020 - 3 minute read

That episode helped me through a long day of yard work. Thanks for that. I still kick myself when I hear Julian talk about old magazines. I tossed out hundreds, HUNDREDS of old game mags. Many EGMs especially. Overall I dont remember all I was subbed to at one point  but off the top of my head:

EGM, Tips and Tricks, Game Now, Gamepro, Official Playstation Magazine, Official Xbox Magazine, Nintendo Power, Edge, Game Informer, another Playstation US Offical Magazine (or something) and maybe another.

I kept these things going for years. One day I was cleaning out my room and just decided to toss them since they took up half a closet. If anything I wish I had know people wanted them so I could have given them away. This was back in 2010 probably.

If true, I had no idea Justin was asexual. Unless I misheard him because I was probably cutting the grass or weedwacking. That blew my mind because of how much percent of his brain is taken up by Chun Li lol.

On to some game talk!

Stage Select

3. Soul Calibur (Dreamcast): I actually got a DC and this game towards the end of its cycle when it was really cheap but I played the hell out of it. It's still one of the few fighters I can pull out and have fun with without having to relearn everything. Also Sophitias grab (you know the one) was a young man's dream.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) Yes that's right, the real Zelda! Unlike the open world, "oh I need to eat food or die" crap. NOTE: I did enjoy Breath of the Wild, please dont hurt me. This game was everything I wanted when I got the Wii but to be fair I wish I had played it on Gamecube. I havent went back to this one but I'm currently playing Ocarina of Time and want to one day.

1. Resistance Fall of Man (PS3) This game was amazing. I dont know why it didnt get more love. Very interesting guns, alternate timelines, extra weapons after you finish the game and so much more. I still remember being blown away by shooting out specific parts of a window instead of it shattering on contact. I want a reboot Sony!

Cage Match: KOTOR wins for being the only thing Star Wars that I actually know about. Yes its true, I've never seen the original or new trilogy. I saw Episode 1, slept during Episode 2, and honestly dont know about Episode 3. So for me, KOTOR is the end all, be all of Star Wars canon. I regret nothing.

Published on June 24, 2020 - 1 minute read

Yes I fully agree. You dont really notice it much until its very realistic. On top of that, theres also the whole terrorist side of it. No way in hell they wouldnt get called out. Barrett and Tifa have to be very well known around Sector 7 because of the bar. They wouldn't have a home to return to unless they wanted to deal with a SOLDIER SWAT team.

Most other games have you running with weapons but you arent neccesarily a bad guy.

Published on June 21, 2020 - 4 minute read

Great episode guys. Looking forward to some new console for sure. Almost done with Final Fantasy so I can hear that spoiler episode.

Update: finished the spoiler episode since I'm done with FF7. Definitely felt way too padded. I was wishing there was an auto fight toggle towards the last handful of bosses. Not because they were hard but I just wanted to see where the story was heading and be done.

I know its dumb but I also had a hard time suspending disbelief when you have Barret running around with a gun the size of a human on his arm. Especially when the 24/7 news has video of all the main characters. NO ONE noticed that the giant black man with a cannon on his arm is the same giant black man with a cannon on his arm from the news? Or the edgy kid with a sword as tall as him? Or hell the hot girl with giant balloons?

Overall it was a good game but I really felt the way they stretched it out unnecessarily. I couldn't recall much of the original story outside of big plot points so you're spoiler cast really helped fill in gaps.

Ok on to Stage Select

Stage Select:

3. Good acradey racing games. NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and Burnout 3 are amongst my favorite games ever. Just dumb fun. Burnout got grayed out later then turned into a garbage open world game. NFS is just a joke these days. Hell bring back NFS Underground and add the insanity of the cop cars from Hot Pursuit 2 and we have a winner!

2. Nintendo trying to compete graphically. I know Nintendo makes many amazing games that look amazing in their own right but damn do I wish they would push the power of a Series X (now and not in 10 years when Series XY is out). I would love to see what a modern Zelda, Metroid, or whatever could do with a console that easily competes with the next gen. They havent done that since Gamecube if I remember correctly.

1. Cheat codes! Where the hell are all the cheat codes? Why do they no longer exist? Let us break our games with fun bullshit. Goldeneye had lots of dumb fun things but also gated them behind speedrunning bullshit. Just give us a damn menu with a checklist of cheats we want. I want to have a machine gun in Dark Souls, Mario duel wielding hammers, Link flying with Epona, Samus with a hyper beam from the get go. Just give us fun dumb cheats and diable achievements if it's that big a deal.

Cage Match: I initially heard this and was immediately declaring Homecoming the winner by a mile but then I decided I'm going with Downpour. Why? Because I was literally 20 minutes from the end of Homecoming (which I was enjoying) when the game wouldn't let me progress past a dumbass door.

I redid the same 30 minute segment 3 times only for the game to freeze 2 doors from the final boss every time. I finally called it quits and to this day dont know how that game ends. Homecoming is the traitorous Shawn Michaels to my Marty Jannetty...

Ok been so busy with my fence but I had to chime in for Stage Select

Favorite Religion in Games: The Templar from Hellgate London

This group of holy warriors have trained for thousands of years to kill demons. They are armed with insane armor with dozens of really cool tech. This includes: helmets to view in 360 degrees, spikes in boots to anchor them, and things to enhance their physical and combat abilities.

Cage match: SMB3 of course. Fat man in raccoon costume equals Totoro. Fan man in Cape equals even lamer Superma .

Published on April 23, 2020 - 2 minute read

Awesome podcast. Got to admit, I'm pretty stoked when I see 3+ hours for the episode.

Last week I got really into acoustic versions of my favorite videogame music so this Stage Select comes at a perfect time.

Stage Select: Happy Songs

Frogs Theme: Chrono Trigger

This song is just epic nostalgic goodness. Instant classic and the reason I taught myself how to whistle. The song perfectly captures that heroic feeling and few characters are more deserving than Frog. Plus it takes me back to that moment he slices a damn mountain in half. This song always puts me in a good mood

Chrono Cross: Time's Scar

There could be nothing else than this song for my number one. I still remember that opening poem perfectly. I remember all the feels I got watching that opening video. I still remember hearing this song during the commercial. Combine that with the awesome cutscenes they showed and I was in! I used my birthday money to buy it and didnt own a Playstation but was going to get a PS2 for Christmas. No other song from games stirs up my nostalgia and memory quite like this one.

Cage Match: TMNT obviously! I loved the Simpsons but a jump rope, vacuum cleaner, skateboard, and fists dont hold a candle to the Turtles weapons. Also this game came from Pizza Hut so that's another win.

Published on April 17, 2020 - 3 minute read

Been so busy lately but wanted to get my comment in. You guys are doing a great job and I really appreciate you guys making this podcast. It really makes my day when I have a podcast to look forward to when I work. Same goes for Clickbait.

Stage Select:

3. Not getting an SNES: I was given a Sega when I was around 5. I never ventured into SNES but I wish I had. I have always taken good care of my stuff so still have all my Genesis games. I wish I had a collection of amazing SNES games in my collection also. That said I loved my Sega days and am glad I had one.

2. Over Buying: I'm extremely guilty of buying more games than I'll ever play. I have gotten better as I get older in that I dont buy as many games Day 1 unless I KNOW I will play them. The others I get I wait for sales on. But I've learned that if I don't buy it Day 1 then it probably means I dont really, really want to play it and it sits there for months, then years, then maybe I pop it in for 1 day and never again. It's nice having a decent collection but I need to stop buying things just because they are less than $10.

1. Not taking pictures in Minecraft: I'm not a photo mode person but I regret not taking pictures in Minecraft. I made an underground bunker after months of playing. I had never played Minecraft but was getting hooked. My tiny bed and workshop in a cave became a bonafide bunker that would make any crazy doom prepper satisfied. It isnt amazing compared to some of those Minecraft experts but I'm still extremely proud of what I accomplished. I wish I had catalogued the transition along the way so I could remember exactly where I started and look back at each step along the way.

Cage Match: I've never played XCOM but its always seemed intriguing. I'm pretty sure that Aloy would have a hard time facing thousands of aliens. Then she's also fighting robot dinosaurs. Sure she has an awesome array of weapons but that don't impress them much since they got probably got nukes. Winner Captain of the XCOM force Shania Twain!

Awesome long episode. Many good laughs is what I need. Really interesting Stage Select this week. I think I have some good answers.

I also thought of a perfect way for Animal Crossing to legit beat Doom guy. He charges head first everywhere. All the residents need to do is drop pitfalls everywhere. As he keeps falling, Nook can make his pitch to stay. Still cant believe that upset lol.

Stage Select: Top 3 Games I've Never Played

3. Skyrim: I still dont know how I've never played this. I think it's most likely due to the close release with Dark Souls which became one of my favorite games ever. Skyrim makes the list for epic dragon battles, awesome magic attacks and the insane exploration. I actually bought it recently but havent played it yet so I can still correct this mistake.

2. Final Fantasy 14: This game seems epic and everything I've heard makes me want to play it so much more. The story is supposed to be amazing and I've always been really intrigued to play an MMO but just never have. This makes the list for amazing music, story and being an MMO. Another title I currently own and will definitely play soon.

1. Zangeki No Reginleiv: If I'm correct this is loosely translated to Norse Defense Force. This was a game for the original Wii that only released in Japan. It was supposed to be a melee take on the Earth Defense Force gameplay where you swing swords, axes, and other melee weapons to take down giant enemies. I always wanted this to come stateside but it never did. Considering it was on Wii probably means it wouldn't hold up well and may have just outright sucked but I stand by my enthusiasm and proclaim I would love it like I do the EDF series. Unfortunately, I dont own this and probably never will.

Cage Match

Galaga and it's not even close. Centipedes are bugs, Galagas are... well I dont even know what is the Galaga. Is it the ship? The enemies race? The space army? Either way giant ships with guns beat bugs. Unless we are talking Starship Troopers because those bugs that shoot plasma out their ass took out space ships easy. But centipedes dont seem to shoot plasma out their ass so it has to go Galaga.

That was some good podcasting. I liked the videogame companies idea since it something I tend to forget all about. Nice tattoo Julian. I didnt know it was yours until you mentioned it.

Glad that Stardew Valley is a hit. I still need to check it out. If Animal Crossing wasnt out so soon I would have tried it. I haven't tried the FF7 demo because I'm going to borrow the game from my friend when he's done.

I cant believe I didn't think of Umbrella either. Great choice. This Stage Select should be interesting.

Stage Select: I'd go for a nice mix of the old arcade one where moves were over the top but with the controls of the golden era N64 games like No Mercy. Imagine piledrivers where they can fly high like when someone in NBA Jam is on Fire.

Definitely need a solid create a character mode. There must be a way to go into the back rooms by going up the ramp. Tons of crazy ass weapons. Wrestlers from all eras and companies would be fun. Also throw in some crazy off the wall ones kind of like how WCW/NWO Revenge did.

All the match types you can think of also including ones that have been lost to time like Coffin Matches, Fire Matches, and such. They also need to add that water arena that WCW would use every so often.

Cage Match: Doom guy blows the head off a demon and is on his way back to Earth. He is ready to tear up some demons but finds himself in a quaint little village on some island. Here he is greeted by a nice raccoon and friendly dog.

The raccoon offers a home with no interest to worry about. He could theoretically never make a single payment and keep his tiny quaint home if he wanted. Doom guy is overwhelmed by his generosity and cries. The kind yellow dog hugs him and tells him that whatever worries he had before cant hurt him anymore. He enjoys a nice serenade from the dog playing guitar and eats a piece of fruit that is freshly plucked from the tree. Doom guy is happy and will live a quiet life with new friends.

Winner: Both!!!

It's awesome that Megan made a theme song for NWP, excellent job. I really enjoyed the anime talk especially because I'm on season 3 of MHA right now. It's been really good. Definitely keep us updated on anime when you do give them a shot. I'll have to check out the Max Defense anime, I saw that too and was wondering what the hell it was.

I cant believe Justin finishes games at that pace. Its insane! He replayed the whole Witcher and did the DLC! I cant even imagine doing that alone in less than 3 months. He can definitely finish a souls game in no time.

Cool Stage Select idea, I had a bit of a difficult time thinking of more than my favorite but I think I got some good ones.

Stage Select:

3. Warioware Inc.: How could you not love the company behind all those crazy minigames. Then Wario as a boss probably means that you could be completely incompetent and still have a job. It's almost like my job now! He seems like he runs a crazy but altogether fun company.

2. The Carrington Institute: This is company responsible for the laptop gun in Perfect Dark. That alone deserves a great spot on here. Its basically the videogame version of James Bonds MI6. So tons of crazy fun gadgets and a license to kill. Seems like a solid place to work.

1. Aperture Science: Ok so while this is definitely my favorite company in videogames, its probably the absolute last place I'd want to work. Let's just say that Cave Johnson isnt shy about doing human trials on whoever he finds himself around.
