Hey guys, I made a minor mistake I just wanted to correct. I said Emi Evans did all the vocal work on NieR. While she did do a majority of it, and the creative heavy lifting, other vocalists did assist.

I actually never did that. Don't know why the idea didn't occur to me, lol

Eh, Clank really isn't a Stealth game exactly. If you're looking for that, check out games like Specter Ops. They're much more stealthy.

That music at the end is a cover of "4 Gods" from one of the Y's games. One of my favorite VGM covers.

I posted the lost FF IV town theme I talked about in the episode 110.5 post. If anybody is looking for it, that's where it is :D

So I promised that unreleased FF6 Town Theme, so here it is. If there's any other music we referenced in the show that you guys want me to post, let me know and I'll try and find it for you.

Found a pretty good example of the music from Boot Hill Heroes. I really enjoy it.

Figured I'd add video of R-Type 3. I also forgot how friggin metal the music was. Too bad the SNES sound chip didn't really have the 'punch' it needed to drive this one home.

Also, the video of the FF 6 intro someone made using FF 14 Julian talks about was made by @LordServbot on Twitter.

A little late to the party here, but listen to that Custom Robo video. They absolutely stole the door opening and closing sounds from Doom and used them all over the place, lol.

I can't believe some of the games that I wanted to talk about but never really brought up. The Arc the Lad collection is one I loved and probably should have worked in when we were talking about Working Designs, but you know how that goes. Tenchu would have been fun to talk about when discussing either the 'edgy factor' or tank controls. Oh well, like I said, you can only fit so much into one show!

This is the most fun I've had playing an FPS since I was in college. No exaggeration. It beats out Halo for me and that means quite a bit.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but honestly, if those side stories about the Joker aren't made clear in the movie, they don't count. I'm not against fan theory or having fun playing with some background stuff, but the movie needs to stand on it's own without relying on fans digging that deeply into it to figure out the how's and why's.

Pretty sure I remember reading elaborate descriptions of every weapon in Doom somewhere, either in game or in some other medium. The only one that didn't have a crazy description was the BFG. It only had a single line:

"It clears out a room for you"

And it does...

It is pretty bad, but honestly just go to Board Game Geek. The community there is pretty much on top of everything you could be curious about.

That's true of NYC, but the rest of the state is pretty rural actually. It's the weather. Winters here are too long and too cold usually for people to really run an effective car hop.

I've been thinking, since my wife is into trash character dramas, maybe I can talk her into watching Scott Pilgrim. I still haven't seen it.

My wife is microphone shy. She hates even using a phone, so I'm probably never gonna be able to talk her into even saying "Hi" on the show. I'm working on it though!

My wife will watch anything, literally ANYTHING, even if it's targeted at tweens, so long as it's a character drama.

I absolutely plan on visiting Texas. I have more friends than just Julian that live down there. The Sonic thing is really weird, but you have to remember that here in upstate NY, we don't have car hop service, so most of the people who seek them out are doing it for the novelty of having that, rather than just getting to eat really good trashy fast food. Oddly, there is one local place that's privately owned that has car hop service, but that's the only one I know of in all of New York, and it's the old school style car hop with a over sized menu board stuck to the side of the building and stuff like that. No fancy electronic intercoms or credit card readers.

I keep thinking about playing this but it hits just a little too close to home.

I honestly bought my Vita just for remote play. The exclusives, like Freedom Wars and Dagonrompa are a nice bonus though.

To kind of piggy back on what Julian said, I think FF VI is absolutely the pinnacle of the franchise, but the problem it has is some of the stuff that was so mindblowing and innovative at the time (the Opera scene, having animated cut  scenes play out using the in the middle of a battle using the actual in battle engine) just aren't that impressive now that we're so far beyong the platform.

The good news is that's really all the game loses. The story is excellent, the mechanics are rock solid, and the game (although it can be slow in the way JRPGs are kind of natrually slow) is just plain fun. Just don't play the hideous mobile version!

That's right, Revenge was the 4th one. I thought it was OK, like I said, but it just felt off. I also feel like they were really struggling to come up with additional mechanics to add after Takedown and what they ended up with just wasn't really a very satisfying addition.

I think a lot of the devs are working on the Need for Speed games now so maybe, maybe we'll get another game in the spirit of Burnout eventually.

I really wouldn't have picked Plague Knight.

King Knight always struck me as kind of a joke character. There's even an achievement that reads "beat any boss without taking damage... except King Knight" I'm kinda surprised he's the second one, but hey, considering how they brought me around on Plague Knight, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with him!
