I'd like to see you apply what you've learnt, from making this game, to some User Generated Content in Shadowrun Returns. I need to get round to playing your game, I'll make it my new years resolution.

GOTY edition of RDR is really cheap atm, if you get a chance buy it. I'm tempted to say that along with Dark Souls it's my game of the generation!
DOTA gives you all the characters off the bat where as LoL has a heavy micro-transaction model.In terms of mechanics, not a lot between them probably. DOTA has a deny system where you can kill your own creeps to deny the opposition the last hit (they need to last hit creeps in order to get money for upgrades)
State of Decay is worth your time, if the concept interests you. I'd like to see it done in a more polished product.
DOTA2 was actually only released this year, even if it's been in beta for a few years now. LoL was released in 2009. So there's that, also never could get into LoL where as I have big time with DOTA2.
Your list is very similar to my would be list (minus Skate and Tony Hawk). Planescape Torment was my number one until Dark Souls came along. Dark Souls was the first game to make me feel like it was the first time I'd ever played a game. I wish I could play it again with my memory wiped. Magical
I was going to argue the fact that 360 won 7th gen but then remembered how many fucking wiis were sold.
I finished State of Decay a while ago and while I love the premise and some of the mechanics, the game just wasn't finished IMO. Recruiting survivors, scavenging for supplies and building your base were exceptional but the story was weak and got in the way of those great bits. That being said this is probably the best zombie game you can get (I don't count The Walking Dead as a game)

It's too easy to be a critic these days. At least you're channeling yours into something you're passionate about. Not everyone's going to get it but atleast they have an opinion on it and negative or positive, you've gotten a reaction. And that's what art's all about man.

never played enemy unknown (gutted to miss it) but just saw on amazon that Enemy Within for 360 comes bundled with it. Just ordered for £25, absolute bargain! Gotta wait till friday here in the UK though!

your minimum wage is a fair bit higher than most but your living costs are also ridiculously inflated. The plus side of that is whenever you guys go on holiday, you're amazed at how cheap everything is.

Yeah that's true. I was speaking purely on the topic. Which would of course be gamers. I can say the same of many demographics and core groups. Passion for a subject can often breed narrow mindedness and stupidity.

Gamers sometimes come across as juvenile, entitled and just damn right stupid. I just have to keep reminding myself "They're probably 12" or "They have ADD" and my faith in humanity isn't quite depleted.
