It's more rock music. Shut up and listen.

This week, the Pantsless Ones are joined by video games writer and rising YouTube star Erika Szabo. We each brought a topic to talk/preach/rant about from our soapboxes, but before that we of course have Consumption Junction.

Welcome back, citizens of Tamriel! In this edition of The Elder Scrolls Forge, we take a look at the game that brought many into The Elder Scrolls fold, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. While Morrowind dropped some years ago, many uber-talented modders have worked tirelessly to bring this game up to speed. In keeping with that theme, we are taking a look at graphic and texture mods for the third installment in The Elder Scrolls Anthology. So grab a mug of you favorite Sujamma, say a quick prayer to Azura, and let's begin our journey back to the Red Mountain!

Well, we finished Mirror's Edge, and like most titles we play on Backloggers, it has its flaws to be sure, but it's a fantastic game. Make sure to listen to this 'cast once you've finished playing through since we spoil the ending about 5 seconds into the show, and thanks again for picking this game for us to play and for the feedback if you left us comments. I hope to do another community pick again sometime soon, so be on the lookout for another Backloggers poll.

For the second week in a row, PB & Jason is here! Issue 126 starts with a rant against the upcoming cloud-based Pokémon Box subscription service and follows with a very long-winded rant about the direction Gearbox Software is headed. Mix in a dash of insight for Nintendo's new sales strategy for Wii Sports Club and a bit of GTA V and CoD:BlOps2, and you've got yourself a podcast! Tune in! Leave a comment! Send an email! Suggest more ways to end sentences with exclamation points! Listen! Click through!

So it’s about time I kicked myself into gear as a Community Manager and got you all involved in something here on PixlBit. I’ve been working on things in the background, but so far it’s been a bit hush-hush until November or December comes around. But in the meantime, something else has been brought to my attention; next week is the 30th anniversary of Transformers!

Welcome back to Digital Mystery Tour. With the recent release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, it seemed like a perfect time to look back at some of my favorite songs from the previous online Fantasy: XI. I'm a little under the weather, so I let the music do the talking for me, and close things out with a couple tracks from A Realm Reborn. If you have fond memories of FF XI, you may want to check out the Nerds Without Special I did earlier in the year, which features a ton more of the game's soundtrack, as well as some fun and touching stories. Enjoy, and I realize the bagpipes in the San d'Oria theme can be a tad grating on the ears, but what can I say? It's home to me.

PB & Jason is back! This week's issue covers some of the bigger news between the last PB & Jason up until now. I'm not going to go into many details, but the focus is on new handheld consoles (and TV counterparts) and old subscription fee woes. Tune in! Leave a comment! Send an email! Suggest more ways to end sentences with exclamation points! Listen! Click through!

Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference Monday offered a glimpse into the Vita’s future. We learned about new hardware with a 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter design, extended battery life, and six color options. We also learned about several new games in development. But the Vita TV was the biggest news by far.

I said, ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?! Boy, I sure hope so, because I've got some video game tracks that will melt your face off! I'll admit that I'm relatively new to rock music, as I was raised on the music of the '40s, '50s, and '60s, but in recent years I've really learned to rock out. So I wanted to share some of that love to you, the listeners. Unfortunately, I couldn't fill a brandy glass with nothing but brown M&Ms, so Ozzy didn't go on. Sorry about that. Oh, and here's that amazing music video by Tomoyasu Hotei. Enjoy!

Wow, Nerds Without Pants turns 30! Funny, the show doesn't seem a day over 22. Aging is the topic of the day this time around, as Julian wonders what changes are in store for the modern geek. Before that, it's Consumption Junction time once again.

As many of you have probably heard, Bethesda recently announced The Elder Scrolls: Anthology, available September 10th. Community created content is synonymous with Bethesda's fantasy role-playing franchise, so we figured that now would be the perfect time to showcase some awesome mods in an on-going feature entitled "The Forge". Each feature will showcase a different type of mods for a specific Elder Scrolls title, so if you don't see a beloved mod featured then fret not, there will definitely be multiple installments for each criteria. If you're interested in obtaining any mod, simply click on its title to be taken to the Nexus Community page where you can snag yourself a download. So without further ado, let's get started with Texture & Lighting mods for Skyrim!
I spend a lot of time playing video games, but when I started seeing images from the games I love around my part of town, I was a little freaked out. First, I saw a Creeper from Minecraft staring back at me on my drive to work, and then later happened upon a Pooka from Dig Dug. With a bit more poking around, I was able to find five little mosaics in Keller and Fort Worth that someone has installed in public areas – presumably without any sort of city funding or consent.

Recently I heard a new fan project by the fine folks over at OverClocked Remix. it's a 4 disk set of music inspired by (read: covers of music from) Final Fantasy VI. If you've got any nostalgia for the game, any love for the series, if you're a fan of Uemastu or if you even like good music in general, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

Nintendo raised eyebrows Wednesday with its unexpected announcement of new 3DS hardware that removes the key feature it was designed around.

Well, we asked for some battle themes from the PixlBit community, and they responded with some amazing selections! Enjoy these ten scorching tracks that come from a myriad of different types of games, from cinematic action to RPG to platforming. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this eclectic mix tape, and for making Battle Themes Month a huge success!

Minecraft does interesting things to people; sometimes it brings out our inner-creativity, and some-times it brings out unforgiveable actions that would shame a Kardashian. I’ve done some amazing and creative things in Minecraft, but I’ve also sunk to depths I never thought possible. This is the story of what I thought was a simple and sweet endeavor that ended with a sinister and morbid outcome. Minecraft transformed me from a man into a beast in the pixelated world in which I was god.

It's Friday, which means it's time to take your pants off and listen to another wonderful episode of NWP! The guys run the gamut of geekdom this week, with talk about anime, art books, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and the greatest Jason Statham move ever made: Saints Row IV.

There's been a lot of controversy just about everywhere these days regarding how women are portrayed in video games. Frankly, I'm glad to see it. Controversy has a way of exposing us to new perspectives and fresh opinions in a way few other things can. It's given many women a platform to discuss how things like this make them feel sexualized, marginalized, and mistreated. It's also given others the chance to promote the radical idea that perhaps the size of a woman's bust shouldn't dictate how we perceive them; that big boobs don't necessarily mean a shallow character with a tiny brain. It's also indirectly fed Jenn Frank's idea (which has since garnered international attention) for a BoobJam: A call for the creative souls among us whose coding Kung Fu is strong, to create games about boobs, with the caveat that the content show breasts from a more practical or biological angle as opposed to the typical straight male gaze, or sexually gratifying perspective.

Yeah, that's right, we went there. It's hard not to, really, what with the current drama unfolding around Dragon's Crown, the Tropes Vs. Women videos, and what's in Lightning's bra. We handled it as well as 3 dudes on a video game podcast could, I think, but it would be fantastic if we could get some civil discussion going in the comments. We could have a great follow up when we get to our conclusion episode.

For my contribution to Battle Month, I decided to focus on some of the more obscure stuff out there. There's music from portable games, RPG's and even some retro stuff. Check it out!

It's week two of Battle Themes Month here on Digital Mystery Tour! JD opened things up with some great tracks from modern JRPGs. I decided to widen the range a bit, and have some excellent fight music that spans multiple generations and genres. Tune in next week to see what Angelo has come up with, and be sure to comment on my blog post to get some of your choices in the final week of Battle Themes!

It's time for another excellent episode of Nerds Without Pants! Oh, you lucky, lucky people. This week, it's all about JRPGs for the main topic, but as always we begin with Consumption Junction.

Welcome to Battle Theme month at Digital Mystery Tour! JD kicks things off with a selection of modern JRPG battle music that's sure to get your blood pumping. Be warned: this episode of DMT features so much butt rock. So very much butt rock. Fighting Vipers fans should be right at home.

Although QuakeCon hasn’t wrapped up yet, it has pretty much settled into its groove until its Sunday conclusion. If you weren’t able to make it to Dallas for this year’s free gathering of FPS nuts, I snapped a few pictures to help give you a feel for the show.
