Happy half price candy day, hope everyone is well!

Had a little celeb run in today that was fun:

One of my interests besides video games is English Premier League soccer. I will watch any PL team play, but my heart belongs to Arsenal. I was scrolling through my Twitter feed today and saw that Jon Camping, the motion capture actor for King Regis in Kinsglaive, had mentioned something about being from Hull, England. I tweeted to him that there needed to be some art of King Regis with a Hully City AFC scarf. He loved the thought and retweeted it, which brought it to the attention of Liam Mulvey, who played Libertus in Kingsglaive. He then stated that Libertus needed an Arsenal kit, as he is a season ticket holder. So now all I can picture is Libertus and Nyx throwing back beers together at an Arsenal game yelling about how they hate Tottenham. Perfection.

That's the way I'm going to end my night Cool

I feel sorry for Arsenal after today's match, but only because Ozil is on that team.

Today's match was...yeah. I love Bayern too, so I knew that was going to happen. I worried Ozil is going to get tired of this shit and head for greener grass.

Ozil just doesn't seem inspired. He was a different beast at Real Madrid, and also had to work harder for his position. I wouldn't mind, or be surprised to see him go play for another club.

I would be sad as he is one of my favorite players. If we could get solid, stable players on the wings, Ozil would have more to work with. I do think he becomes complacent when things get frustrating...and that happens at Arsenal.

I know that the FC Dallas team plays in the MLS and that Clint Dempsey from the U.S. national team is from Nacogdoches, TX WHERE I went to college and now teach. He plays for the Seattle team.

That is my soccer knowledge. Also, Houston Dynamo is a team that exists, according to my Facebook.

I love that you did your own six-degrees to the MLS. What do you teach?

My six-degrees to the MLS is that I am from Chicago, home of the Chicago Fire. My brother-in-law works for a wine distrubution company that deals with the team. He gets us Chicago Fire scarves and tickets to Fire games, even if I don't really care for the MLS. All he knows is that I like soccer, so he is nice to think of me.

The Chicago Fire? Are they planning on adding 1871 to that name? Interesting name choice ... lol

It is. It can be a bit stressful working with technology when you have 63 student accounts in 3 different sections of a class (I teach 3 sections of a practical course and 3 different lecture/writing courses) and a server that won't co-operate however.

Currently debating asking a colleague a question after hours or just going w slides tomorrow.

I vote for slides, because tomorrow is Friday ;)

Thing is i can get across the slide info while teaching practically.

Also, i did call a colleague after hours to sort it out ...

My soccer knowledge is even less than Superstep's.  I have no idea how all those leagues work. But damn that shit is popular!

It really is popular. The amount of money involved in the bigger leagues is really just silly. Everything is a business.

I feel like it keeps everyone on the same level in the sense that you can access people you'd normal never have a chance to even look at in person.
