Thorium Wars: Attack of the Skyfighter Review

It ain't no Star Fox, that's for sure.

Upon initially investigating the Thorium Wars sequel, I found myself quite excited by what was on display in the eShop teasers. It appeared to take inspiration from both Rogue Squadron and Star Fox; two series I have much adoration for. Unfortunately, after taking it for a spin it doesn’t even come close to matching its source inspiration.

Mouse House Review

This mousy maze game may not offer as much challenge as fans of the genre desire.

Mouse House is a simple game. In fact, Mouse House borrows the engine of a simple, yet difficult series known in North America as The Adventures of Lolo. The gameplay is puzzle-based, and involves picking up pieces of cheese in a labyrinth-style grid maze, while avoiding enemies and navigating a few basic obstacles, in order to reach the exit in once piece.

Thorium Wars Review

Sick of clocks and Sudoku? You might want to liven up your DSiWare collection with this shooter.

Thorium Wars is a futuristic shooter that reminds me of Star Fox if you took out the anthropomorphic animals and stuck it through the generic science-fiction machine. The story takes a backseat for the most part, but it's centered on a future where robots and humans are warring, hence the "Wars" in the title. The gameplay is fun as the controls work well and you have many vehicle types to choose from, and the best part of it all: this sucker is basically a retail DS game in DSiWare clothing.
