Monday Night PlayBit: Super Metroid, Part 2

If things go well, Jason will be completing the game tonight.

I'm back again this week, to bring you another Monday Night PlayBit! Join the Chatango chat and give things a whirl. I'll be completing Super Metroid today, if all things go well. Right now, I'm reading things are streaming perfectly, so we'll see what happens. It starts now! Or at 8:00 PM EST. Don't worry if you miss something! Sweet! We did it. Time was a bit slow for me, 3 hours, 48 minutes, IIRC, with 75% of items collected. I'm not a pro, but I did employ a lot of sequence breaking. Some of it probably make the game take longer than it normally would!

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
