Minh Le's Newest Game to be Released by the End of the Year

Tactical Intervention takes the basis of Counter-Strike, but expands on Le's original details.

Tactical Intervention is Minh Le’s newest game. After co-creating one of the longest-lasting games, Counter-Strike, he left Valve after declining to make a sequel to the game. Now he is working on his next project: Tactical Intervention.

Le’s reasons for separating himself from Counter-Strike was because he wanted to add a lot of features which the development of the original did not allow, and he feared “the people who played Counter-Strike would [complain] about all the changes.” We’ve all seen that happen before. So Le kept the main aspects of Counter-Strike, such as the game being about terrorists and the agents who try to take them down, and added hostages and attack dogs.

He also changed the idea of the multiplayer aspect of the game by making rounds about two minutes in length. He says this eliminates camping and sniping, as well eliviating the boredom of people who died early.

Available on PC, Tactical Intervention is scheduled to be released by the end of this year.
