Deadlight Announced for XBLA

The "cinematic puzzle platformer" will be released this summer.

Indie game developer Tequila Works has revealed their debut game, Deadlight, for the Xbox Live Arcade. The company is comprised of former Diablo III, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Heavy Rain and Overlord II developers. Microsoft Game Studios will publish the title this summer.

Deadlight is being described as a "cinematic puzzle platformer" which follows the adventures of Randall Wayne as he travels to the American West coast to find sanctuary from "killer automatons" that have taken over mankind (read: zombies).

“Tequila Works is born from deep traditions, and is created with sufficient time to let it reach its perfect maturity,” reads the bio on Tequila Works webpage. “In this way we have obtained an independent studio which combines, under the watchful eye of our silicon kegs, craftwork and modernity.”

As mentioned before, this new title is being created by former employees of Blizzard Entertainment, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, MercurySteam Entertainment, Pyro Studios, and Triumph studios. The company was founded by industry veterans Raúl Rubio Munárriz and Luz Sancho Rodríguez.
