It’s been a bit of a rough road for the Final Fantasy series in the past few years. There was a four year gap between Final Fantasy XII and XIII due to a protracted development cycle, and we’re still waiting to get our hands on its companion game, Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

Last week Atlus announced they would be shifting the world tendency in Demon's Souls to white for the holidays. For the unfamiliar, a pure white tendency means that certain, previously inaccessible locations will be unlocked and the game will be made easier. Keep in mind that all easier means in a Demon's Souls context is that the game won't kick your ass quite as hard as it normally does.
Originally announced at Nintendo's 3DS event earlier this year, not much is known about Square-Enix's original 3DS RPG, but this footage helps to convey the game's unique art style.

Microsoft's Major Nelson announced today that for the next 12 days, there will be a daily deal on Xbox Live. Called the 12 Days of Xbox Deals, every day will bring a new deal on a different item. However, each deal will only last for one day. The first deal is 50% off Bastion. Normally 1200 Microsoft Points or $15, for today only it will be available for 600 points or $7.50. Since the release of LEGO Star Wars in 2005, the LEGO franchise has combined with various other properties to make some games that thrill kids and adults alike. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 has just been released, and we have word of a star-studded sequel to LEGO Batman. But it’s been announced today that LEGO has inked a deal that could mean big things for video games.
The new video game client is in beta and includes over 300 games free to subscribers.
Gamefly acquired Direct2Drive, a PC subscription-based rental service, back in May of this year and until recently we had yet to see what the online mail rental service would do with it. Gamefly didn't have any service for PC gamers and this seemed to be a way to change that. Then in August, Gamefly announced a PC client to be released at a later time.
