King of Fighters 96 and Metal Slug 2 make their debut on the service.

SNK Playmore USA is continuing to release titles for their NeoGeo Channel on the PlayStation Network. Today the company announced that two more titles will make up the fourth set, bringing the total available to 16. The King of Fighters '96 and Metal Slug 2 are now available for $6.99 and $8.99 for the PSP and PlayStation 3, respectively.

The Beta will start early next month

G4TV is reporting that Hi-Rez Studios has set a release date for the Beta of Tribes: Ascend, a free-to-play first person shooter. The beta will be released on November 4, 2011. In order to get into the beta, players can apply for a beta key on the Tribes: Ascend website, get a code from the game's Facebook and Twitter pages, or pre-order the game.

Qwikster is dead, long live Netflix!

Earlier this month Netflix shocked its user base with the announcement that they would be splitting off their physical DVD/Blu Ray rental operation into a new service called Qwikster which would also feature a video game rentals to compete with companies like GameFly.  This meant that if current Netflix subscribers wanted both digital and physical subscription models, they would have to have accounts with both services.
