Green Day: Rock Band Review

The Beatles were the first to receive their own game, now Green Day gets their time in the sun.

Now that music games have reached mass market appeal, both Harmonix and Activision have shifted focus to producing band-specific titles that encompass that artist's full career. The Beatles Rock Band was the first to truly nail the essence of a band and Green Day Rock Band is Harmonix's second attempt at doing just that. At a glance, the title does a pretty good job capturing their career in terms of song selections, but it does leave something to be desired in its presentation.

Players who have lost hope in the Driver series might want to look forward to taking it for another spin.

As time has gone on, the Driver series has become less and less relevant thanks to some sub par entries into the long running series. However, Ubisoft is trying their hardest to revamp the series and restore it to its once honorable position.

April Fools '10 - Do You Like Horny Bunnies? Review

That’s what she said!

When the time came to play with my little game, I could have been more surprised with the end result. I was so eager when I got my copy of Bunnies, I just couldn’t wait for the excitement to begin. I stuck it in my slot of a CD drive as fast I could and wow! It’s totally generous in its content and won’t treat you wrong.

April Fools '10 - Super Mario Galaxy 2 Review

Super Mario Galaxy 2 falls flat in every way.

When I got my special, pre-pre-pre-release copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2, I was initially excited. Then I realized it wouldn't play in my PS3, and things went downhill from there.

April Fools '10 - Scribblenauts Review

5th Cell's puzzle/creativity hybrid couldn't be any better.

From the moment I first heard of Scribblenauts, during last year's E3, I could tell the title had "Game of the Year" potential. By sheer concept, I grew aware that video games have reached what I once believed to be an insurmountable pinnacle, and in execution, Scribblenauts far exceeds any and all expectations.

Need for Speed: Nitro Review

After a series of mediocre sequels, my "need for speed" has finally been rekindled.

The Need for Speed series had a great start many years ago, as well as a number of enjoyable sequels. Unfortunately, over time, the series lost its luster and many of the newer titles in the series were either dull or mediocre. Need for Speed Nitro is the latest game in the series, and one that EA has made specifically for Wii. While it's not as deep as a realistic racing simulation game, this fast paced arcade title is one of the better racing games on Wii.

Final Fantasy XIII Review

Massive changes to the formula have been made, most of which will alienate the die-hard fans of the series.

Final Fantasy XIII is an absolutely intriguing game. I say this because it has made some of the most radical changes I have ever seen in an RPG, especially for the by-the-book Final Fantasy series. In my opinion, these changes are absolutely phenomenal; boiling RPGs down to their essence and refining the remaining bits into a single coherent experience. JRPG and Final Fantasy fans are likely to be outraged at the massive overall seen here.
