That's not true about Call of Duty. You can easily pick any of these titles at anytime, and develop yourself to the point you're at equal footing with everyone else.
I would get the basic set if it weren't for the digital purchase discount offer from the deluxe set. I'm not 100% interested in Nintendo Land because I don't have anyone to play with other than with online people. I would even be fine with just bots.
I should note that since recording this, it's been confirmed that the Wii U Pro controller does have a rechargeable battery, so at least it has that. I wonder if I can get 10% back in points from buying that sucker.
Really, though, I think it'll probably see a bundle of some sort pretty quickly, so I'll likely wait for that.
