Dream or Nightmare
Last night I was at twitter and someone tweeted a site with leaked images of the Wii U's upcoming Zelda title The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare and well I don't know about you but they look pretty neat. Here they are:

Here is the site with the leaked images but here's the interesting thing, it only has one comment and the commentor said it's fake. Not sure what to believe but that these images in with a grain of salt.
On more Zelda related news, apparently Team Ninja is helping out with the development of Hyrule Warriors, as if Nintendo didn't learn the last time but who knows, Other M wasn't that bad of a game, sure the story and voice acting was bad but they got what makes a Metroid game a Metroid game with the gameplay. They got the gameplay and the controls right, I thought it controlled really good and the action parts were pretty neat. So it actually might benefit the game, maybe it'll also play like Ninja Gaiden?
And this other bit of news is that Hyrule Warriors will be out in Japan on August 14. So an American release date wont be too far off from there, I guess a September release might be good. Plus the game might have a story because *surprise* Zelda get's kidnapped by a witch called Shea. I hope she is playable at some point because from what I heard, these type of games gives you a ridiculous amount of playable characters and having Zelda would be cool. Plus there is no way this game is canon into the series if it's a spin-off. But would make sense with the Team Ninja collab.
So what do you think of all of this? Thanks for reading and later.
It doesn't surprise me that Team Ninja is involved with Hyrule Warriors, as Tecmo and Koei are practically the same company now anyway.
I think when they came up with Hyrule Warriors, they were like, "How do we get Cary to play a Dynasty Warriors game? Let's put either Kirby or Zelda into it!" And I guess they went with Zelda.
And yes, a playable Princess Zelda in that game would be neat. I'm tired of Link. :) (not really)
Yeah I was thinking about that the other day. And you know a Kirby game like this would be interesting since the Kirby games have alot of characters an enemies in it, would be neat. I would love a playable Zelda in a game too, hopefully she is playable.
All I know is Insomniac were very cool yesterday when I was in their L.A. HQ, but also very hush-hush about what they had coming for E3.
I think ryone is waiting for E3 but it's awesome that you got to go there.
I want playable zelda too. Goddammit, nintendo, give me what i want!
Same here, I want TP Zelda playable, or Tetra.
This is the second time I've heard the "Shards of Nightmare" title. If they are going for a darker tone this time it would be consistent with how the Zelda games have been light then dark then light again. Ocarina-Majora-WindWaker-Twiilight-Skyward- (Now a dark themed Zelda).
Yeay I thinkyou're on to something, plus we've heard of the name more than once so it seems highly plausable. I do think it will be a darker Zelda if we go by your patern, plus look at the screen shots, it's certainly dark.
It could be fake, but what does it matter if there are leaks when considering that we're so close to E3. Patience. I know there's going to be a LoZ game for the Wii U.
Yeah Nintendo did say we'll be seeing the new Zelda game at E3 anyway, just a few more weeks or days.
I can't keep up with all these dang Zelda games. I'm still stuck on Twilight Princess! lol
Hpe you played WW, it's really good. And have fun with Twilight Princess, it's tied with WW as my favorite games.
Looks dark. With some good combat controls, it could be really interesting.
Hopefully no motion controls, I would like something more traditional in the controls. I wouldn't mind motion controls as long as they are better than Skyward Sword's.
Gosh, forget motion controls already Nintendo. It's such a bunch of nonsense. It was just an attempt to bring non-gamers into the fold, and it worked to a degree, but they've left now. Let's get back to gaming.
I didn't mind Twilight Princess' motion controls much because those were far better and more accurate in my opinion, heck the Nintendo Land Zelda mini-game's motion controls were far superior than Skyward Swords. I just hope it's traditional controls, I wouldn't mind if they added them but have traditional controls too plus Nintendo would want to showcase the gamepad so it would only be logical if they used regular controls.
Someone on the BRB UK podcast this week pointed out that nearly everything is easier to do with a controller than with motion or voice controls. I agree with that.
We just need to wait for E3 and then we can confirm if its real or fake.
Yup, we'll find out soon enough.
UUUUUUUU Looks very dark I like it. Man I can't wait for E3.
Me too, I can tell Nintendo is going to have a great show of games this year.
Yeah I'm excited for all three platform's announcements.
I'm mostly focused at Nintendo because I'm a fanboy but I'm interested to see what Sony and Microsoft announce as well.
"Shard of nightmare", sounds quite ominous.
Is it soo much to ask for it to be a sequel to MM? *sigh* Still, the Wii U is coming up, it seems, nice.
Maybe someday we'll see it but I think we'll most likely see the MM3D game first.
Looks like Zelda as a survival horror game. I'd be down for one where you have to flee 90% of the time early on until you're eventually powerful enough to take on the enemies yourself.
Same here, that could actually change the formula quite a bit and give it a new gameplay element.
Not sure if it's fake or not, but if it's fake it's pretty well done.
