Following up on earlier stories, I got a new car and I didn't buy Costume Quest 2.

We wound up getting out of the deal at the first dealership and buying the one we wanted from the second. It was all rather quick and painless (until the first payment of course) and I picked up the car yesterday. It's a joy to drive and it's going to take me ages to get used to all the tech in the thing. I know how to use the wipers and turn on the radio so that's a good start. Getting to know the navigation system and all the voice commands will take some doing.

Instead of Costume Quest I wound up buying Catherine for 7 bucks and the second part of Corpse Party for 9.

In other news my contract with the School Board has now been extended until April with my boss still trying to get me on full time. I've got a big presentation to IT council tomorrow morning so of course I'm preparing for it by fucking around on the internet and drinking beer.

Get on that presentation, man!

Your car sounds awesome though, glad you got out of the deal. What is make and model is this voice-navigation-system-having set of wheels?

It's a 2014 Ford Escape SE 1.6 Litre turbo. It's got all the power features including the liftgate which is really handy when you've got your hands full. It's got a touch screen for the controls and navigation and a backup camera with a proximity sensor so I don't run over small children when backing out of my driveway.  Looks kinda like this:

Does it have a CD player? I'm still on cassette. Wait. . . what year is it? Isn't this 1994? Darn, I've done regressed back twenty years again.

1994 was the bomb.

Yep it's got a CD player and also 2 USB ports and an SD card slot that I can use for music. No cassette though. :)

When I was in Walgreen's today I stared for five minutes at a Retro Genesis system that was on sale. Just thought you should know that.  Tongue Out

Why didn't you buy it? 5 minutes? That's a long time.

because as much as it would be fun, i just don't have the space right now, I guess.  I was mostly shocked such a thing was in that store.

Congrats on the ride man! Even better news is getting out of that first deal. Since I'm a bit late to your blog, I'm assuming your presentation already happened so hopefully it all went well, and hope you get that full time spot!

Thanks it went great. I'd be really happy to get out of this contracting crap but I'm still employed and that's better than the alternative

good man and good man.

I used MyBuys on Castlevania SotN and Caslevania: drac X chronicles though I already own both games physically or digitially elsewhere.

prep work at it's best, I wouldn't do it any other way.
