Join the Nintendo Fun Club Toady!

Club Nintendo is pretty neat. You play Nintendo games and you get rewarded. Well you technically get points or Coins as they call them, then you can use those points to exchange them for Nintendo goodies. They can be either posters, Nintendo memorabilia, or limited edition games. They even started offering games every month since 2012, which wasn't bad, but most of the games were games people already had, so it wasn't bad, but not good either. A while back Nintendo said that it's going to discontinue the Club Nintendo program in favor of a new one later this year.

Hopefully it will be better, I mean Club Nintendo is pretty much the best video game rewards program out there but I always some issues with it. Hopefully Nintendo addresses these issues like...

More games to register

When I talk about this I mean from this point of view: picture a family who owns more than one 3DS and each of them have a copy of Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. The thing is that you could only register one copy of the game. My brothers each own a copy of Smash Bros. making that 2 copies of the game, making that 100 coins wasted. They say you could add more family members but it doesn't matter since you can only register one copy of the game. They could always make their own account but you can only ship awards to one address per household. I know people who have mor than one, but who knows what you have to do in order for that to work.

Sync more than one system to Club Nintendo

3DS

This is another gripe I have. You could only have one system synched at a time. I know some people have more than one 3DS, we have a total of 3 3DS systems and I only have mine synched which sucks because my brs. purchases go uncredited. And I'm sur I'm not the only one.

Better Rewards

This one isn't an issue as its more of a complaint. I've seen the rewards Japan and Europe get and its way better than what we get. Sure I shouldn't  complain since this stuff is free but it really isn't.

Able to register more than just games

amiibo

I'm talking about extra stuff like accesories like extra controllers or amiibos. I know they wont do this but would be cool if they did.

More third party games to register

You normally don't buy Nintendo hardware for third party games but they actually have started to offer coins for those games. Sometimes only the digital version of those games qualify and its kind of a bumer for alot of people.

More coins for Special Edition games

Majoras Mask 3D CE

I have a few special edition games but they only give you the same normal ammount of coins as the standard edition. I paid more for this version so how about some extra coins?

Able to use coins on eShop games

eShop

I said before that Nintendo offers digital games as rewards in case you don't want a physical reward. The problem is that most of those games are titles you own. They should allow you to buy stuff from the eShop instead.

So that's all my gripes with Club Nintendo. Its a great rewards program but it does have its fair share of flaws. So, is there something you want fixed in the new program? Thanks for reading and later.

I'm mostly in favor of that last point, would love to see it become a cashback reward system. Maybe give you better deals if you want less specific stuff, but still, options. Also think they should full out do it on every 3rd party game, especially if they release a system graphically on par with the PS4/Xbone. The Nintendo version would be an easier sell if I got something back for it, especially if the game had no online.

The only thing I look for is for Nintendo to not exclude the Latin American region and bring there the new rewards program.

I'll miss Club Nintendo, but I had a feeling it was on its way out soon anyway.

these are good suggestions.  I only got onto Club Nintendo late in the game, and by then most of my games were too old to register. Dammit!

I hope they remedy what they did wrong and learn from it. I'll admit that NoA Club Nintendo was lacking, but I got lots of really cool posters.

Excellent suggestions. I particulary like the use coins in the eShop one.

Even more than synching one system I'd like my account tied to me not the hardware.

Shipping time on rewards should not be 2-5 months like I was told for the last thing I got.
