I'm still playing the Valkyria Chronicles demo. It's pretty big. I played the first mission and then a two part second mission. I'm on chapter two now, and it opens up with you at a base where you can now equip your soldiers, but also - like XCOM - you put research and development into new weapons and tank parts. Each soldier has three weapon slots and a armor slot. This is a lot different from the original game, where I don't think you could customize any of that stuff. That should be pretty fun.
I've been reading a lot in my down time. I had a problem reading for a while, but then I decided to read short stories (what I'm writing anyway), and now I've torn through like five short story collections. I also read a novel too in between. Very happy to read again, I had been wanting to but I just couldn't concentrate on it. Next stop is to play games regularly again.
I'm still dieting. I'm 251. I started at 257. I've been hovering here for about a week. But I did start walking, and I'm doing that now, and I hope to do some yoga again soon.
Anyway, that's about it. I'm gonna download the Monster Hunter Demo now.
Congrats on the weight loss, stick with it!
I’ve played the first mission so far, kinda got going on Sonic. Im downloading MH tonight.
the dieting is pretty easy, exercise not so much. I've just never been a regular exerciser and I'm not good at it. But I'm working on it!
I've only scratched the surface of the Valkyria demo but I already know I like it. I haven't played the MH demo yet, but it is sitting there. I have it for 3DS too. This is a conventional MH though so huge learning curve.
Really pleased that the Switch is getting a lot of love right now.
I love my Switch.
I was going to check if the demo was on XBO but I forgot. Maybe it's on PS4? I really hope the library gets a copy because I'm still broke.
I don't know if there are demos on the other systems. Nintendo seems to be pushing them a lot for games, and I'm glad to try them out first.
I'm using Game Pass to demo games. It's $10/mo, so it's not free like actual demos but there are a lot of games to sample there.
Congrats on weight loss. I got down to 204 recently and seem to be losing the recommended 2 pounds a week, so not bad.
I still want to read my All Our Wrong Todays novel, but first I'll finish the very short Power Paradox book from my nonfiction book club.
man if I got down to 204 I would be ecstatic. Well, it's a marathon and not a sprint, right?
Oh yeah. You can sprint, but walking is better for weight loss anyway, so ...
VC4 is badass. Can't wait for the full game. It's been my most wanted game this year.
I'm more hyped for Dragon Quest, but Valkyria isn't far behind.
