With such game lists as I have, I was surprised to not stick to anything until I hit a RPG on list three.
A majority of this batch of GamerDad reviews I’ve recently written have to do with Japanese myths and legends and other related themes, so hence the title. Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
Only one more half-day game-day left for me this month, Monday. I've been deep into Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel this week but also other stuff. Here's 'bout.
Halloween is coming up and thoughts turn to spooky things like evil bad guys, so on this episode of The Pizza Pixel Podcast, my brother Jeff and I talk about our favorite video game villains! So please click on the link and give it a listen and make sure to stay at the end for a secret clip!
Looking forward because there's only one week left to this month. I'm making a playlist from the years 2016-2018. I've already changed my plan for next year, but I'm sticking to this 2024 plan until the end. So three year's worth for October seen through the lens of Metacritic's highest ranked games. Here's my first playlist taken from all the games rated 90 or better. It's short.
Just a bunch of GamerDad game reviews I’ve written lately starring weird little dudes this time. Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
I explored some short Game Pass games and dove deep into Halo 5 this week. Also, a recap of Retrocon.
I played a lot of games on my 2013-2015 list this Labor Day. I also picked up some games from Just Press Play this week.
Well, I finished Gears of War 3 and played several others partially. I'm happy with my new plan which seems to push me to finish some games. I managed to finish the Mass Effect Trilogy finally.
Guess what? My birthday is in September, but I’ve got presents for you! Game reviews I’ve recently written at GamerDad.com! Just what you wanted…right? Anyway, please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. And if you want to, in the comments section of this blog, go ahead and give me a pretend birthday present!
The Castlevania Domina collection just cemented something that's been creeping in my head ever since I picked up my PSP again earlier this year: The DS library's highlights looks better today than the PSP's highlights. Back in the 00's, the PSP's graphics were a huge selling point, offering games close to console quality over a decade before the Switch. But despite a strong launch, most gamers were shocked at how it merely carved a niche while the DS took over the world. Yet one thing that the PSP had in its favor at all time were its graphics. Games looked better.
I'm looking ahead to September. My playlist will cover 2013-2015, chosen from the greastest of all time lists on Metacritic. But first, some purchases.
Playtime included finishing Mass Effect 3 and getting hooked on replaying Gears of War 3. I touched on a bunch of others though.
Well, howdy Pixl bits! To catch you up to speed on what I have going on and what I'm playing/doing:
My picks from the second page of 25 games on Metacritic's Best of All Time for the years 2010-2012 sorted by score and then by system.
On this episode of The Pizza Pixel Podcast, my brother Jeff and I talk about our favorite cartoons with more adult humor and themes. Most of the time our podcasts are fairly family friendly, and this one is, too. But we do talk about some cartoons that younger kids may not be ready for yet, so just keep that in mind if you listen to this podcast with your kids. But it’s still mostly family friendly. Please click on the link below and give it a listen if you can. I’d really appreciate it. There’s a short little secret song at the end, too!
A half-a-day left to game, but I had some time to write, and so here's what I've played so far.
This week I played mostly Mass Effect 2 but also Flock. I bought EDF World Brothers on Switch with some Fetch rewards and I saw the Borderlans movie.
I’ve grilled up a batch of game reviews I’ve recently written at GamerDad.com! As always, please click on the links and read as many as you can and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d really appreciate it. OK, let’s dig in!
