I finally got a $14 copy of Pikmin 3 for Wii-U. I've wanted it since it was announced at E3 2012. Miyamoto began the Nintendo presentation with little pikmin crawling all over him. I couldn't believe it. One my my favoirte franchises up front and center. I should've gotten a Wii-U and Pikmin 3 day-one but I was concerned about money then and didn't do it. Since then Nintendo hasn't released enough new games that interested me as much to make me pick up the system..
A new Kirby game was released on 3DS recently, called Kirby: Planet Robobot. In this game, Kirby can pilot a robot mech to smash enemies and solve puzzles. So that got me to thinking about other mech games that I like, so here’s a blog about them!
Hello everyone. I'm late posting stuff as usual. Thought I'd get it done on Monday and here it is Friday already. So let's get right to it. Here's what rounded out my game purchases for April.
Good morning Pixlpeeps and Happy Friday! So earlier this morning in my little piece of Southern California we had an earthquake that was felt from San Diego to LA, and my little desert town was close to the epicenter so it was a bigger deal than normal. I have this weird knack for waking up right before earthquakes and I woke up looked for my phone to see the time and shaking
Now can I be alone? Bill drops his his head, slumps his shoulders, and slowly walks away. "Happy now" Francis snaps at Zoey. This is some pain that no one should have to endure much less relive because a smart ass teenager had to push him way to far. I thought I could help, I never figured something like that could happen with Bill. A silent figure slowly made their way towards Zoey and Francis. The figure slowly reached out and touched Zoey's shoulder. She then slowly turned Zoey towards her and enveloped her in a loving hug. Don't try to take it so hard Zoey, you had no way of knowing what Grandpa has been through. Zoey hugged back tightly and said "Thank you so much Lucy Ann, you will never know how much that means to me." Lucy Ann says" but Zoey I really will, for the granddaughter that Bill had to shoot was my sister." Don't worry now because grandpa will get over it in time. But until then we must continue to try to survive. For you are now all the family grandpa has, and I think that you can now see what family means to grandpa.
Hi everybody! Blake here with a quick update, as he is wont to do. I'm trying to blog more often, hopefully it sticks this time. So what have I been up to?
Got myself this remake of the original PS2 Odin Sphere for PS4 today. I love Vanillaware games, especially their art style which is very Japanese, colorful, and zany all at the same time. Plus they usually do game genre's I really dig like strategy, rpg, or some mix of the two. Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie, I say. Here's a pic:
So it's been like 4 months since I was last active. Those around February when BaD was going on may remember that I was commenting on the blogs of early February, maybe with the hope that I would catch up on the thing. Unfortunately, I lost the energy to continue (I had less than 150 notifications up that point) and very much was inactive here. Since i'm in my quite long summer break since the 25th of May, I thought i'd be a good time to update my page here and also tell you all how i've been.
I didn't really bounce around too much after finishing up Axiom Verge. I ended up settling into another game in the vein of Axiom Verge, Metroid and handheld Castlevania... Shadow Complex.
One last try this Monday to get to summoning The Wither again and then building the beacon but it didn't happen. I got as far as enchantment of two diamond swords, neither of which produced a Loot boost. This last playthrough handed Mark and I some lucky finds, but it still took too long. We found the Stronghold really quickly and we got enough diamond to do what we needed in short order. We even got lucky in that the Nether Portal dropped us right inside the Fortress. But by the time I grinded for levels enough to get the highest enchantment and apply it to the swords, it was time to stop. I am finally exhausted by this game and will be taking a long break from it.
Today I've read this article about reviewing censored games (give a read) and some things have crossed my mind since I've reviewed Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest some time when it was released. Eventually I've posted a comment on the article's page. This was what I wrote:
Good morning and happy Monday Pixlpeeps! I am currently doing my monthly cleaning of the laptop where I go through the My Downloads folder and see what needs to be moved to the external hard drive and what needs to be erased. I need to start going through my Steam library because there are a ton of games I’m not playing and they don’t need to live on the hard drive until I’m ready to tackle them. Also I should uninstall the games I finished, except for maybe Rocket League and Ryse. I kind of want to add Tomb Raider to that list but then I’m just becoming a digital hoarder and I know I won’t go back to that game.
All the excitement around new Doom got me hyped for playing "Hard Reset Redux" on PC. I remember the game came out a while ago, if you don't know Hard Reset is a first person shooter with a cyber punk setting. It's a fairly simple and old school design with a wonderful art style. Sometimes I just want to shoot a bunch of robots instead of zombies or soldiers. I prefer playing FPS games on PC rather than console, and my PC cant really handle newer big releases so I like that I can play a fun new great looking shooter at full settings with no slowdown. It's very arcadey. I'd have to play Doom on PS4 if I was really interested, but Hard Reset on Steam is fine for now.

I don't know if it's the beginning of summer or it's just me being burned out from working, but I played hookie from all my usual projects during the week to cruise over to Mark's place and play Minecraft. I feel like I just want the whole summer off to play games and eat picnic food. Anyhow, here's a recount of what's gone on in Minecraft for me all week and weekend.
A week or two ago I posted a blog about how I was undecided on which game to play next, Rogue Galaxy or Final Fantasy XIII-2. I went with my heart and played the game I really wanted to play, because XIII and XIII-2 (got all the way to the last boss and got my ass kicked, and now I just want it over with) just weren't as fun as previous Final Fantasy games, and lately Level-5 just never disappoints. 22 hours in, and that streak continues, Level-5 are the new Square.
As our survivors regroup and recover,Bill starts off by himself. Zoey starts after him when Francis grabs her arm and shakes his head. The old boy has been through a very trying event and needs to be alone. "Well I don't like it" Zoey says as she stares at Francis, I think he needs his friends. Damn you hard headed woman, would you listen to me please. Bill took the little girl to heart. I think she may have resembled another granddaughter he had. But I think this one may have turned. Roaring, Bill turns around and says"since you both seem to need to know, she was my granddaughter and she did change as I held her in my arms". I turned my head for less than one minute and one of her former friends bit her. I thought if I held and loved her it would be okay. I was wrong. The last thing I thought was "I wish i could help you" but knowing that I couldn't, I did what had to be done. My world ended when I squeezed the trigger and I watched as your life ebbed from your body. God forgive me for letting you down. RIP little one, and God bless.
So a few days ago I beat Ys: Memories of Celceta on my PS Vita. It was a fun game, but not near as good as Ys Seven on PSP. One of the reasons why I liked Ys Seven so much was it had a fantastic and memorable soundtrack. One of the best I’ve heard in recent memory. The Vita Ys game wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as memorable. So now I’m going to try and do something I’ve never done before here: write a blog and post videos of music from Ys Seven that you can listen to. (Yeah this is kind of a filler blog) I hope I can get it to work! Here goes nothing!
Hello Pixlpeeps! I have to say this week went by fast and I am ready to just relax this weekend. The weather on the other hand
