Hey folks, just another blog with links to reviews I’ve been writing lately over at GamerDad.com. Please click on the links and read the reviews and maybe even post a comment or two here or there if you can. Maybe even a Facebook like. I’d really appreciate it.
So I kinda like going trophy hunting in games, but I hate how I have to look up what some of the descriptions mean and that I can't track my progress. I thought you meant jump 100 meters 8 times from a tall building as Batman, how was I supposed to know you meant his car when you didn't specify what was supposed to be jumping? In fact, that whole thing would be a lot less frustrating if you told me I completed 1/8 or 7/8 of the jump so I wouldn't be in the dark as far as where I'm at.
This should be a lesson for anyone here: never trust me when I say i'm going to do blogs.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! So it is Friday, and I have to run some crazy errand right after this so I might have to make a shorter Quick Hits blog…or maybe I can just type faster and not get sidetracked. Let’s see how that goes. Before I started my blog I like to check my favorite college’s athletic message board and well I had to write a response to some yahoo who along with a couple of other folks still think it’s the 1970s (seriously they do) and anything positive the University does is terrible. Let’s back up a bit. A couple of days ago SDSU released a tweet with a picture about something big coming to the Mesa. It kind of looked interesting because it was part of the Aztec Calendar. The next day another tweet with the outline of a football player, and something about big news at 10am. 10am rolls around and this video was uploaded to YouTube.
The GameCube was the last home console that completely held my attention. It was, after all, the final "coming of age" console of my life, that pivotal moment when the dying boy inside of me grew a healthy beard and discovered the fabled real world. Drunken late-night Soul Caliber II tournaments with my roommates; going on a vacation every time I played Super Mario Sunshine; being sucked in to the intoxicating gameplay of Metroid Prime. If the Nintendo 64 lost my interest, the GameCube begged for it....but it also made me all the more aware of a problem that was bigger than Nintendo: a dearth of quality, third-party software.
I find it a little difficult to remember just what I saw in the theaters that year, but this next list is probably the stuff. If I didn't see these films that year, it was very soon after.
So I've been on an extended absence. Alot has happened, not with my job per say but with my life in general. I was finally put back on regular work except I'm working 12 hrs Monday thru Thursday and 4 hrs on Sunday. Added up its about 52 hrs in a week. Now the good thing, I am not struggling above the current to survive. The bad thing, I don't get much free time and it doesn't help that my phone has a shit signal at both of my jobs locations. I've also been battling depression severely bad. Things haven't been good in my home space, for I feel overworked and tired yet the other person living here works 5 to 6 hours a day with only getting a whole 28hr at the end of a work week. Oh did I mention they won't barely help me clean or keep the apartment straightened. I want to cut a day back on my schedule however I have a fear in a few weeks I'll be living alone. I just can't keep up feeling like I'm a work camel and that someone else can coast on me and get by working a part time job when they should be at full time about now. We had the talk before the move but yet he doesn't job search nor is at least trying to get his GED. I barely get to game anymore and when I do its mostly on my 3DS. Hell I haven't touched Witcher 3 since June. I really wanna play it too but on my days off all I do is sit around wondering how I always end up giving 110% for someone to recieve 50% back. So I might go in and out, I might be here and gone the next but I'm gonna try to improve my attendance here. I miss yall and ur blogs.
Well, there were only three games I played that year: Warcraft II, Road Rash on PSone and Donkey Kong Country 2 on SNES. I mean, maybe I played them a year later, I don't actually remember, but these I played very close to their release dates.
Francis looks around and says "looks like you guys are living high on the hog". Rochelle looks over at Francis and says "what do you know about living high on anythinig?" Lady, if I hadn't changed my ways I should you what high was all about. Now I don't even like an adrenlian shot. No but you sure fancy leather dont ya tough guy. Well I'll be damned if it isn't the polyester weraing, mealy mouth, low life gambler. Thought your group would have tired of you long ago and fed you to the Zombies. Then again maybe they didn't want to poison the Zombies. "Good to see you too" as they hugged. Zoey looks over her travling companions and then looks at the other survivors and says "We would like to shower if at all possible." Sure darlin you can shower with me" Nick says with a smirk. Ellis stands up and grabs Nick by the collar, you best talk to this lady with respect, you done pissed off the only other female left alive. It's okay Ellis taking a shower with Nick would be like a roller coaster, stars fast and ends faster. Coach laughs so hard he falls to the ground. Good thing he did because lurking just outside the walls he finds a Vamp. When he looks again he sees several Vamps and they are all moving towards the survivors. As the walls start to crumble from the strain of the sheer weight a small figure appears on the horizon. All you see is a floppy hat, sailors dress, and an oversized lolly pop. The Vamps turn towards the new intruder and start off after her. The last thing heard is a blood curdiling scream and then you see a big floopy hat being pushed away in the breeze. She saved us you know, Bill says as he removes his hat. Bravest little girl I ever met. Baddest too, just ask Francis. Are we seeing the begining of a new civilization, or the beginning of the end?

Armada 2526 continues the great tradition of space opera games. You guide your race from its first interstellar journeys until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you'll explore the galaxy, conduct research, diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and fight epic battles.
In keeping with 1994, I played a bunch of Doom II today on Xbox Live. Fun game. I went for achievements right away since I've played it many times before. Remembering all the secrets on level 1 was interesting. After a while my memory was jogged and I got them all for an achievement. Then I was going for the one playing the whole game on next to hardest or better difficulty. Along the way I got the chainsaw kills one and tried to get the berzerk kills one on the first level you have that. Not enough enemies there to do it though. You need 20 within the very short time it's active and you're invincible. Later I found the room where you can get the kill a cyberdemon by punching. There's invincibility globes all around, so it shouldn't be too hard. I got a bit tired of playing it though and stopped.
