Just wanted to do a quick poll to see if anyone here at Pixlbit still plays GW2?
So I made a video about my experience at Screwattack Convention earlier .. well, yesterday, but the problem was it was 23 minutes long which would probably bore you all to death, and the computer I was wanting to edit it on was acting really slow, probably due to the shit I put on it.
Don't worry, it isn't gone. My personal life has taken center stage a little bit since partway through E3 and now. There won't be one today, but expect PB & Jason to return next week. I thought I'd give everyone a heads up that I'm aware I've been absent, I suppose.
"Man I have never seen so much concrete in my life" states Ellis in awe, "I don't think there is a tree in a hundred miles."
The comic Last of Us #3 came out today and I read it. Finally most of the major players of the game are present, the Infected and the Fireflies. Both the art and story are very good. The game still hasn't risen in my interest to more than a curiosity. I have the Last of Us demo that came with God of War Ascension that's still sitting shrink wrapped on my TV table. Maybe when I play that it'll move up to a must buy.
Oh for F**k's sake. This is ridiculous. Here, read my article on how ridiculous it is, because it's bloody ridiculous!
I apologize for not being in action. Got to working more in rpg-maker and finally devised a system in which I can finish the project with less agonizing busy work. Aka, I haven't given up on it but truthfully I was coming dangerously close to doing so earlier on. Matt Snee can probably tell you, being a one man studio/developer isn't easy! (Hey,Matt! How is it going?) Be that as it may, everything finally "clicked". It was like a "Big Bang" going off in my skull that gave me all the answers I so desperately needed.
So my last two blogs have been rather angry rants, or have been about rather weighty subject matter. I thought I'd break away from that and tackle something a touch more lighthearted - Comedy Television! Well I might as well just jump into it!
I hate when real life puts a crimp in my gaming. Or my blogging about games. Anyway, I have been fitting a little gaming in among the RLIs (Real Life Interruptions).
Well, the Classification Board has made some changes, thank god. It's still not all wine and roses though. Click here to see what they are! It's better written than my last blog anyway.
If you haven't heard, Nintendo plans to shut down the servers for several of the Wii channels that have been around for years this week. On June 28th, the Forecast Channel, the News Channel, the Everybody Votes Channel, the Nintendo Channel, and the Check Mii Out Channel will all cease to function. You'll also no longer be able to have Miis migrate amongst you and your friends' systems, which will sadly leave my Mii parade just shy of a thousand participants.
I have this friend on my XBL account that I've known since I started my account back in fall of '07. That was not too long after my brother/roommate came home with an HDTV, an Xbox 360 and a copy of Halo 3. I spent the next 2 1/2 years off-and-on with Halo 3 multiplayer and met a lot of friends (and scores more of people that I hope get eaten by wolves). One guy in particular kept in touch with the next 2 entries in the franchise (ODST, Reach) but when 4 was released, he apparently was not impressed. He was so angry at the direction the franchise had taken under 343 Industries that his XBL profile has statements like "343 sucks" or "343 ruined Halo".
1. Final Fantasy Versus 13 not becoming vaporware- However it is rebranded as Final Fantasy XV, which probably bother's most FF fans. Since it takes a action adventure approach instead of the usual turn based gameplay. Gameplay shown is a lot more cinematic and faster than the previous gameplay video from two years ago. Noctis now joines Nathan Drake and Lara Croft in whatever place they enter; its all going to come crashing down. Damn videogame characters, stop breaking shit. However the game is no longer an exclusive for the Playstation platform, it will a release on the Xbox One as well. On a minor (pfff minor), Kingdom Hearts 3 is finally anounced; I wonder if Tetsura Nomura will finally close out Sora's story. Hmmmmm.......
I decided to go ahead and put Ni no Kuni on hold for awhile. I'll probably come back to it, but the lack of the all-out defense command was getting on my nerves. Also, I might need to reconsider my current familiar setup, or just go ahead and evolve the blasted things already - I don't need my stats fully maxed to make the most use of them.
Oh, hello there! We're recording our all-Xbox One episode of NWP this evening. You can ask us anything of course, but I'd love to hear from some people who back the XBO. Were you psyched from the beginning? Did the recent backpedaling on the DRM and always on cause you to jump the fence? We want to hear from you!
In the flurry of E3 news, some games were of course lost in the shuffle. I've summarized these exciting releases below.

Chinese women have taken to a new product to help ward off pervs on the subway. Hosiery that is covered in hair to make it look like they are a tiny Sasquatch or something. I guess on those trains it is so cramped that women get groped pretty often. They have almost had to accept it as the norm it's gone on for so long. But not now! I guess even pervs have their limits. They have no interest in touching legs that look like Robin Williams back. Seems fool-proof doesn't it? But hey....wait....someone seems to be making his way to the train now. Oh hell, not that guy!
Saints Row IV has been banned in Australia. Seriously? WE HAVE AN 18+ RATING NOW! What, aren't adults responsible enough to make up their own fucking decisions? I thought I lived in Australia, not fucking China, where they ban facebook.
I deleted my save, don't ask me how but today i've been unbelievably unco-ordinated, first yesterday i thought i saved but this morning i found out i'm where i was at 1hr before i saved (but that was only grnding so no BIG lose) but when i decided to go back after that revelation i pressed one button (twice) i don't know if it was the (b) or (a) and then...
Even with E3 over, there is still a lot of information to take in and soak on our minds about the coming gaming years ahead for consoles. PS4 wise I think its gonna be some great years. Sony has kept me happy enough that Im totally ready for a PS4 now. I still got a ways to wait but no less excited. While Sony is making online pay to play through PS+ they are doing the right thing by telling publishers no online passes. They refuse to accept the passes on any PS4 games. PS+ will also carry over on all Sony systems. While I use to play online on the PS4, my PS3 will still have access to it and its benefits. As far as I know, they dont plan to discontinue instant game collection for the PS3 or Vita. They have also said that the free to play games Warframe, Planetside 2, and Dc Universe online will not require PS+ to play. They have also announced that within the first year of the PS4, they will launch 20 exclusives on the system. Now, this doesnt mean Im counting the Xbone out, they so far have stated a change in policies for the system and as long as that stays Ill consider getting one sooner then I previous thought of. Im still gonna wait a time before I have one in my room. It will also be unplugged when I am not playing on it. Also Fable 4 has seen no announcemt yet so that def helps hold off waiting for it.
