Late to the games

Kingdom Hearts 3

I’m a pretty big KH fan. I’ve played through all the KH games and their remasters, so I am pretty glad to finally be able to get to this game which was sitting on my backlog game pile for almost a year. It was on sale for $20 this week, so I couldn’t pass it up any more. The thing about these games is that they really suck me into the gameplay. I think I burned through 20 hours in just a few sittings and I forced myself to take a break and really want to get back to it. I really enjoy the combat, especially after unlocking combos and magic abilities. I also want to see what the next world is going to be after completing one so I always have a sense of anticipation when I’m playing. That doesn’t really happen with a lot of games for me. Yup. It’s like crack.

Destiny 2 (free edition)

I never really got into Destiny games. I think the mmo shooters weren’t really my style. It’s ironic because I really enjoyed playing Warframe, mainly because it was free, but now that the Destiny 2 game is free, I’m enjoying it quite a bit. I don’t have PSN right now so I’m limited to just doing solo adventure quests, but the story and mechanics are pretty solid. I’m actually considering getting PSN so I can jump into the extra content, but I’m just having fun unlocking all the free stuff for now.

Disney Plus

I was surprised to see how happy I’ve been feeling watching a bunch of old Disney cartoon shows on the new app. I really enjoy watching animated series like Rick & Morty, Archer, Bob’s Burgers and Simpsons, and now I can go back and watch a bunch of older cartoons that I grew up with like Disney Afternoon series, X-Men, Spider Man, etc.   I guess from Disney to Anime and back to Disney again, I’ve always been an animation fan and now I’ve got more options. If only there were a Nickelodeon app.

What are your fav. disney shows if you have the service?

I signed up for a year of Disney+ but the only thing I've watched so far is The Mandalorian which I loved.

I have The Kingdom Hearts series on PS4 but haven't played it much. I want to though.

I'm enjoying Mandalorian as well. I started watching all the star wars series and movies in anticipation for the next film. It's nice having them all in one place and easily accessible. I'm looking forward to the new Rogue One series next year too.

I'm still wondering whether to get Disney+. Might sign up for a free trial next week if still available.

I'm mostly watching old disney cartoons. It's been a long time since I saw a lot of the animated movies and tv shows. The nostalgia is strong. I think you can get everything out of it with a trial.

I'm watching The Simpsons on it; just signed up for free trial.

I like KIngdom Hearts games as well, but I don't really pay attention to the story, as it's very confusing.  I just like tromping around Disney worlds.  I wrote a blog about KH3 a few months ago, but you may not want to read it because there may be spoilers for you if you want the worlds to be a surprise.

The only thing that interests me about Disney+ is all the Disney Afternoon shows like Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin.  But I have most of them all on DVD so I think I'm good.

I actually really like the combat in KH series. The Disney worlds in KH3 are pretty cool. I feel like watching those movies now.

I'm mostly watching old cartoons on Disney+. I don't think I've watched the xmen cartoons since they aired in the 90s. They still hold up.

Everyone's got a subscription service these days. I considered EA's service recently because you get the next month free, which gets you access to the new Star Wars game. At least I think that's true. I've got enough services already though.

I cancelled my PS+ sub because I didn't like their free games. It was nice getting discounts though. I don't play a lot of EA games, but the new Star Wars game looks cool.

I look at the PS+ free games from time to time. I would sign up for it if I made some more money. I'm kind of heavily invested in XBO, though, because my friend plays there. I need some more time too. Then I could get to all those Sony and Nintendo exclusives.
