I just realized i still haven't played Destiny 2 by myself or with Blake. I need to get on that.
I set up the Wii-U today and it works fine. I also played some Tank! Tank! Tank!. Then I played Aven Colony on XBO and then Bomber Crew.
So far today, I've eaten breakfast, done some laundry and plan to attend this re-employment orientation with the Texas Workforce Commission way before the date they told me I had to, cause I am so, so tired of not being employed. A friend was asking why I haven't found anything when a Master's and being a former professor must count for something, but I've been rejected by so many jobs in both the private and university sectors, inside and outside my field, at, above and below the salary or pay-per-hour I want, that I'm wondering when this shit ever ends. Granted I've only been at it for a few months and I was kind of in summer vacation mode for most of July and August, but I still applied to several of what I thought were realisitic jobs for me during that time and in a job market that I keep hearing is the employee's to control with record low unemployment. I just don't get it. I have a personal friend who works with my university's career department and have done everything they said, even updating things now and again ... and now I can't log in to the Texas Workforce Commission site because it won't accept my security answer no matter how I type it in and you have to wait ten minutes ... just *SIIIIIIIIIGGGHHHHHH*
I started Bomb Chicken on the Switch after I finished The Messenger. Here are some random thoughts that I have at the moment.
Just got done with the Light of Alfheim chapter and I guess there are 13 more chapters to go. Not what I was expecting from this franchise, but this is a reboot with a much different gameplay style after all, or so I've been led to believe.
I will admit it, I am a Dragon Quest addict. I've had DQ XI for two weeks and I've already sunk over 100 hours into it. I work, I eat, I walk the dog, and sometimes I sleep, but mostly I play DQ XI.
So this past week I’ve started browsing what was out there for budget gaming laptops and I have found a couple that I like. There are a couple of others that I really like but their price tags I really don’t care for. Since most laptops come with similar graphics cards, and other goodies, I will omit that but here are a couple of things I do want in the next gaming laptop:
So ive been fucking around in photoshop and randomly started making some video game related stuff. Let me know what you think!
I've avoided watching this every since it came out over a decade ago because I didn't want to view the villany that everyone saw in Billy Mitchell.
Just as I was looking at Gamestop's weekly sales to see what was up, I saw one on Wii-U, $30 off. I was going to wait a few weeks but this seemed like the perfect time to strike. One benjamin down, but I can now play some pre-Switch Nintendo games.
I gave in and bought another Wii-U game and saw a very cheap game I wanted and added that to my PS3 collection. Then I got caught up in The Last of Us.
I was able to hook Snee up for free today. I have 4 spots left for Picklebits friends. Caveat. You don't get the cool stuff like access to the NES controller Joy Cons but if you don't care, ping me with the email address of your Nintendo account and get a year for free.
I'm about ten hours into Dragon Quest 11, and just killed the Slayer in the desert. But I've also been playing Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition on the Switch. It's dope, and having played about half of the original game, I'm really impressed by how similar it is, but with a chibi flare that's a bit more simple. The combat is still interesting, and a lot of things carry over, just in a 2D way, and the story and dialogue recorded for the original game is present. There are a couple hiccups... loading times can be a bit long, and sometimes the game kind of chokes. Probably just not optimized great since it was a mobile game first. But it's really cool, and when I'm not playing it, I'm thinking about playing it.
Boring life update (you can skip, there's gaming stuff later/anyone else's keyboard type in the same letter a bunch of times when you hit it only once, especially on this site? Stupid $1000 ASUS ROG laptop, what the hell?!):
For the longest time I was kind of sad I never got the NES Classic Edition. But when Nintendo restocked them last, I was finally able to get one! So here is a blog about all the games you can play on it.
I bought Wario Land: Shake It! today and downloaded two free Games with Gold titles: Livelock and Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World. I set up my PS3. And I started to catch up on the achievements leaderboard by playing a lot of short games downloaded from Game Pass.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! This time last week I was in an airplane heading towards San Francisco to start on a mini adventure with my brother. This past week was a fun road trip where I flew up to the bay, filled a moving truck, slept for maybe 6 hours and then drove down from San Francisco to Las Vegas to help my brother move into his new house. It was a little over 600 miles but it was fun, and I’ll tell you more about it in a bit but first since this is a combo blog let’s start with gaming.
Hey everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the last remains of Summer since I am already ready to jump right into the Autumn season and bundle up into sweaters and leggings along with some hot cider!
I picked up Yoshi's Woolly World today for Wii-U at Gamestop for $16. It's the fourth game in my Wii-U collection alongside Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD and Skylanders Superchargers. I still need a Wii-U though. I may have that remedied soon. I'd like to have one for October when I review the years 2010-2014.
I just remembered something I have to share. Do you recall that game Operation:Wolf in the arcades, where the Uzi was the controller and you pointed it at the screen shooting people? It was kind of the precursor to the Terminator game. I used to play it a lot, but it was kind of shitty, but I had fun. Anyway, I remember once I was in an arcade and an adult was playing Operation: Wolf and he was saying "Fuck you!" loud every time he killed someone. He'd be like, "Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you!" I don't know why I remembered that but it's always made me laugh.
A shitload of new games and ports were announced for Switch at the new Nintendo Direct, including classic final fantasy games (FF12 on a handheld!), a new Luigi's Mansion, and even a streaming version of the new Assassin's Creed. In addition, there are new ports of Cities: Skylines, Civilization 6, and even Wasteland 2 for god's sake. Personally, I bought Final Fantasy XV - Pocket Edition, originally a mobile game I played on my iPad, but it choked on my Air 2, so I wanted it on Switch where I'm sure it runs better.
Kind of down at the moment. Not just about games but career stuff. Maybe it'll pass, maybe not. Anyway I played three games today that totally frustrated me and then I saw the Forza Horizon 4 demo and played that with relish. Oh and I bought Last Remant for Xbox 360. Here's a pic.
