Just wanted to ask if anyone got into the beta and if anyone is playing it? I think I read it's a part of the Season Pass, so I'd have to buy that for this, but it just gives the option to play missions with friends in co-op and it's not a standalone thing? I'm confused. It looks like fun whatever it is and I enjoyed 15. So who has the Season pass or is planning on playing the multiplayer thing? Also, are those other DLCs for FF15 worth the price of the season pass? Had enough game with the base game alone really.
Last of the normal Skylander SuperChargers I have, the magic element ones.
A couple of days ago I picked up some Double A batteries because I wanted to power up the Wii. I haven't started that machine up in a while and when I went to check on the batteries in the WiiMote, they were trashed. I thought it would be fun to have a console weekend and for the most part is was but I had to jump through a couple of hoops. The PS4 when powered up didn't appear on the screen. Since I have an HDMI switcher I thought I had the wrong input, than I went to maybe the cables were unplugged and then finally I just blamed Sony. Eventually I got it to work, which was odd because nothing was unplugged, and the right input was selected so I'm just going to blame Sony. I found the Mission Impossible Level Set I bought a while back and I thought it would be fun to play that. Since I haven't booted up Lego Dimensions in a while I was a little rusty on what to do. Apparently I needed to download the 1.9 GB world for Mission Impossible.
Some game series have seriously overstayed their entry. Some are on their fifth or sixth entry, and some were dead on arrival. Either way, here are some solid ways we could improve these series of old.
Mark and I saw Thor Ragnarok today. It was really great. I loved it in every aspect. It's a movie I'd own and rewatch, and that's kind of rare for me. It's defintely my favorite Thor movie. I wasn't a huge fan of either of the other two.
Last year, Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition, a smaller sized 8-bit NES shaped console with 30 classic games. It’s been notoriously hard to find, and I’ve been a bit bummed that I haven’t been able to get one. But I wasn’t TOO upset because most of the games I played on the NES were from Capcom, not Nintendo (Mega Man and Disney games). But the 16-bit Super Nintendo is my all-time favorite console ever. It was the gaming console that really cemented my preference for console games, and the system just clicked for me for some reason. So when Nintendo released the SNES Classic Edition in the same vein this year, I REALLY wanted to get it. Luckily, my family got it for me for my birthday! Nintendo DID say they were making more of the SNES Classic Edition, and I don’t know if that’s really true or not, or if we were just more prepared this time. But not only was I able to get one, but three of my brothers got one, too! So to celebrate me getting a SNES Classic Edition, here’s a blog about all the games on it!
These are the Tech element Skylanders I have for the SuperChargers game.
I feel like I am behind on my blogging. Just so much going on.
These are my water element Skylanders from the SuperChargers game.
I have this problem. Every month the geomultidimensionalneonquartzalienlifeform in my back yard sends me to another time. Luckily, I don’t lose any time in my current universe. I just go out in the morning, get zapped, and return a moment later with a nice daydream in my head.
I can't remember if I mentioned it but for the past couple of weeks I've been waking up a half hour early to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter. I usually wake up 45 minutes before my alarm goes off, but now I've become use to waking up just a bit earlier so I can watch a show from the early to mid 2000s. Now I could just record the episodes but there's no fun in that, plus I like to open the windows and get that cool air flowing and watch as the sun comes up, right when Dog usually tries to help the guy they were talking trash about in the beginning of the episode. Also I like to watch because every so often I recognize the area they are in. Its fun to say “I know that spot” especially if that area has changed.
So I finished the main story for Super Mario Odyssey and well I enjoyed it but its not all its hyped up to be personally. Its a beautiful game, its looks great in both portable and docked gameplay. The kingdoms all for the most part are unique and I loved Lake and Luncheon. They both spoke to me on two levels, I love mermaids and food. They got my favorites as kingdoms. I'd say my least favorite was the city one. Its just so out of place. It is fun to play, especially through the main story but passed that it literally becomes a chore. So there are 999 Power Moons to collect. If you plan to 100% this game you are in for a long grind and headache. I just think thats over the top and definitely not needed. Hell 9 times out of 10 you find some secret challenge room/area you can bet there are 2 moons to be found. I just think they got way too moon happy and put in way more then needed. I beat the story with at least 200 moons and I ended with 500 because at that point I was done. Getting to 500 had made my patience run out and not to mention the post game unlocks aren't worth it. There not new kingdoms, there expansions to the final kingdom of the story. I mean they could have done something so much more....fun and different but no. I was really hoping for something new and when it popped up I was just....let down. I just grinded 500 for that??? FOR THAT??? The expansions do give more challenges, but I still just don't find getting so many worth that. So needless to say I'm kinda sitting over with a mixture of I enjoyed but it let me down. I know I'm probably alone in this. Everyone I see post about it just gives it glowing reviews and says how fantastic it is. Its great in some areas but in others its not so great. I have to say Projared pegged it with his review, he gave it 8/10 and I agree. Its a B, its fun, worth a playthrough but not worth grinding moons to the end of time.
At 73 Stars I made the mistake of returning to the Lost Kingdom and Klepto the bird stole my hat a second time. This time he flew to a place that is impossible for Mario to reach without Cappy. At least for me.
Shmups – or shoot em ups for you uncultured swine – is a genre where you shoot things. You also avoid things. It's kind of like Undertale's pacifist battles, except for a full game. The genre has seen a resurgence, especially on pc. After Cave released some of the best the genre has to offer, the store flooded with unique titles. This list aims to cover the obscure ones, as well as some for beginners to try.
I finished my second playthrough of Fable II today and started a third. I am nearly done with the game. All but three achievements are gotten. Those last three require online trading and I don't see that happening.
The other day I finally retired my mostly evil Fable II character. I didn't set out to be evil but I ended up with horns and strange blue scar marks all over my massive female frame. I boosted her height, strength and slimness to the max making her like a female Spartan from Halo. I got the last few achievements I could get with that character. I got all the expressions, skills and dog tricks for the completionist achievement. Mark jumped in to get it too (Most of the achievements can be had by watching someone else do it in co-op). So after that, I felt it was time to start over.
At some point today I need to print out an Amazon return sheet, pack up the package I received last week and then find a UPS store. Also at some point within that trip I need to get some gas for the truck. Before I actually get started with all that good stuff let's catch up on what has been going on. I almost forgot: Good morning Pixlpeeps! I hope everything is good and the weekend treated you well.
Every year I try to play a scary game in October for Halloween. I don't always make it but I've been playing F.E.A.R. the last two nights. When the opening screens were splashing through before the title screen, I saw that the game has a 2006 copyright. I can't believe it's that old! The 360 had been out only a year and the PS3 was just launching and the game, well, looks like it came from that era. It looks like a really nice PS2 game that got up rezzed for the new consoles. Graphics have come a long way in 11 years! Plus it's mired in the typical grays, browns, and rust of the time. While the shooting is perfectly adequate, it's nothing special. But let me tell you, the sound design hasn't aged a bit. I'm playing with headphones and the use of ambient sounds and creepy music cues really do wonders for creating the atmosphere. So far it hasn't been a very scary game—though there have been a couple of really good jump scares—but it has been quite unsettling. I'm looking forward to see how the story plays out.
I traded in Mark's old PS2. I had to make sure I had two controllers for my own PS2 before I let it go. It wouldn't do to not have 2 controllers. I used the money for a few Orginal Xbox games now on the new back compatibility list for XBO.
So as you all know I'm a Nintendo fan. And as such I bought Super Mario Odyssey. (It's out today!!!) Anyways, what do I think of the game so far? Well I love it! Of course I'm not very far. I've only gotten 105 power moons (it's just so odd to say. I'm so used to power stars). But I'm having a blast. I'm going around collecting coins, jumping on goombas, and using cappy to my delight.
Hello Friday! Hello Pixlpeeps and hey look two posts in a week. I'm slowly getting back into that groove. I'm currently listening to news stories about Catalonia declaring independence from Spain. It's interesting to listen to and hearing the people cheering. So what non gaming things have I been up to? Let's take a quick recap:
