Boo! Here’s another batch of games I’ve reviewed over at GamerDad.com. They’re so good, it’s scary! Whooooo! Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe even post a comment or two here or there. I’d appreciate it, thanks. Now let’s begin…if you dare!
When I was 8 years old, my mother introduced me to a computer game about drug smuggling.
I can't believe it's only 10 MORE DAYS till the Extra Life event! I am super excited to be participating and I have raised $40 so far! I am aiming to raise $100 and the donations will benefit Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
It's that time of year again, Halloween. Time to pull out the inflatables. I saw this one last Saturday while delivering pizza.
Man, people really love Nintendo. To the point it seems like they can do anything and people will support/endorse them.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a gloomy with a little bit of rain morning here in what is usually sunny Southern California. The weather is perfect for soup and maybe actual hot coffee but I'm going to enjoy some ice cold water until I decide if I want to venture out and grab some donuts. So how is your weekend? I know you still want to talk Nintendo Switch (I'm kidding). Yes I'm glad Nintendo has their new product announced and we all have our opinions on it, but I'm going to wait a bit until more info is thrown out.
So I raised my town to level 3, and now I can't get new quests without tearing everything down or restarting. Apparently, you have to build within the original 32X32 grid of the town as you found it or the rooms don't give you points towards leveling. At least, that's what I've read. I extended the town because it's pretty small and built a nice barbeque kitchen and armory with flagstone flooring but neither counted for more than just plain rooms because they were just outside that original grid. I had extended the wall, and they were both within it, but that didn't matter. Nothing in the game tells you this is a rule, so I'm really frustrated. I really don't want to take apart this town I've built over ten or more hours. I had to stop and play Minecraft with Mark to think about it. I still don't have a satisfying solution. I may be done with DQ Builders. I don't know.
Nintendo released a trailer for their brand new console coming out in March 2017. The Nintendo Switch.
Good morning Pixlpeeps! It looks like everyone has an opinion on the new Nintendo Switch so hell I might as well give my two cents. Overall I like what Nintendo is doing, but I have a feeling this might be a flop. For the causal crowd it will be great. Having a console/7” tablet is a cool feature that Nintendo has improved on from their Wii U, but it also seems like its another underpowered console that Nintendo will push a ton of units on and when the numbers start to slow down, release another port of a Zelda game that has appeared on previous Nintendo consoles. I do hope I'm wrong and Nintendo releases a product that everyone is happy with. I hope Nintendo delivers on the product that Sony promised when it released the Vita and talked about how I can stream games from the PS3 (HA!) and PS4 to the Vita. The cartridge is a damn good idea because kids can't scratch them, they're tough, and portable. The little Joy-cons are cool but what is the battery life on them, and are they comfortable?
Jesus christ guys. Sorry for the bombardment of blogs. The Nintendo thing is kind of a big deal. Now that I've had some time to think about it I think I should make a proper in depth blog about what I think about the system.
Hello Bittonions! I sorry I have been out of the loop for a while. I am trying to finish up this Network Systems Management degree.
I bought two copies of COD: Advanced Warfare today so Mark and I could check it out. Each was under $10 at Gamestop. But as I was waiting for the install, I started playing some Gems of War and couldn't stop. Then I finally played four or five missions of the campaign in COD: AW. Details below.
So, I put about 9 hours into DQ Builders this weekend. It's pretty fine but I got a little bored after a while. It's very much like Minecraft but with a very directed approach. You start with a busted up town and a single villager and she gives you things to do that bring more villagers to town and teach you how to build buildings and craft items. More villagers give you more quests and the game goes on from there teaching you new things as you go. There's not a lot of figuring things out. You fight in real time in the wilds and even have to defend the town occasionally.
So a while back, I wrote a blog about my favorite police officers in video games. It was a fairly popular topic, so I decided to revisit it, only change it to be my favorite firefighters in video games. It won’t be as long of a list, because I couldn’t think of too many firefighter game characters. I’m a little surprised there aren’t more firefighting games out there. Real life firefighters are true heroes, risking their lives and being brave to save others in danger. So I’m surprised that more video games haven’t capitalized on that. Also, according to where I work now, this month is fire safety month so it’s topical. But anyway, here are my favorites.
Just finished the tower where you find the hero dude and wondering where the rest of the fragments I need to continue are. The flying carpet opened up a few areas but a couple remain inaccessible. I need a couple more mini medals for the poison needle, I could have sworn I had more than 43 but oh well.
So Ive been out of the loop a bit. Im in the process of moving again. Im moving 5 hours away from my family but its a new chapter in my life. I also got me a new phone, I got the LG G Stylo 2. It reminds me of my Galaxy Mega I had awhile back. Ive been enjoying it so far. Im still working as a CNA in home health. I gave them my notice. My last day is Oct 30th and moving day is Oct 31st.
Christ on a bicycle its been a good year for games. I've been thinking of what i was going to put on my top 10 games of the year list and this is the not narrowed down list. This is the list of every game that I like and think people should play. There are a lot. Over thirty, and I have the feeling I've forgotten something important.
Just saw this today. Took me double that to clear the story
Good morning Pixlpeeps! For today's Quick Hits I'm gonna try something different. I've recently gotten into this kick where I watch YouTube videos about headphone reviews and I've become interested in the budget side of headphones. As you know with my CD pickups I love a wide range of music and I also listen to a lot of podcasts. I decided to check out two headphones to see if they live up to the hype and the best part is, both pairs combine come out to about $70 which is usually the price of a new video game and maybe some DLC. Today's Quick Hits will cover these two headphones. If you're not into it I get it, and you can either skip down to the bottom to see what bargain bin video game I bought or I'll see you next week. If you decide to not check out Quick Hits, have a good weekend! For you folks who are going to continue, let's get started!
Oh! Hello there, sorry to have left this place..........again. :|
