Greenman gaming has some preorder discounts up right now. Among them is RE HD for $14.99 so 5 bucks off retail.
It is a fine overcast Monday morning here in what is usually sunny Southern California, how are you doing Pixlbit Nation? The week is starting off well and I am ready to enjoy it! This past weekend was a nice and lazy one where I enjoyed some games and a marathon of Netflix while leaving my window open to listen to the rain. It was too cozy to leave the house even though the thought of having a burrito for lunch was mighty tempting. During this period I knocked a newcomer of Mount Backlog, while still playing through a couple of other games.
If anybody has seen the pilot episode of Korgoth of Barbaria on Adult Swim, then you know who Specules is. I chose that name for my Diablo III wizard character and did his voice all day long. No, I never get tired of doing silly voices. Does Will Sasso ever get tired of spitting lemons out of his mouth? Of course not. Here's the third part that featured Specules.
Recently I played and reviewed the new PS3 fighting game Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN--. A lot of times when I play a new fighting game, I like to talk about the characters a bit. So here’s a blog about my top ten favorite Guilty Gear characters. Just a fair warning, though. I was in a silly mood when I wrote this, and I usually like characters who are silly anyway so this blog will be a little goofy. Plus I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge of the Guilty Gear franchise. I’ve only played this new game and Guilty Gear Dust Strikers on the DS. And the only reason why I got the DS version was because it was on sale and had silly little mini-games featuring some of the fighters. I have watched some of my friends play the other Guilty Gear games, though. And the characters I listed here aren’t in any particular order of preference. So anyway, let’s begin!

I haven't even started the game yet and I must ask if the developers were dropped on their heads as children. Seriously, the character customisation is fucking stupid. So you want me to pick my gender and race and then wait 5 minute for the game to load and then I can customise my character? So if I want to change my gender or race to see what they look like, I have to go back to the main menu, and then wait five minutes for the game to load, then sit through a minute long stupid cutscene? Oh, and I have to wait for the Dragon Age Keep to import my decisions everytime because it can't just fucking keep them?
I saw recently that Peter is playing Suikoden, beefing up his army and collecting all 108 Stars Of Destiny; I've owned the game on PSN since 2009 and had yet to make a run on it.
Jesus Christ, try saying that title when you're drunk. Anyway, the site's top 10 is up, and it's rather different from my list. That is to say there are three games from my list on it. Just goes to show how gosh darn different we are. Anyway, check it out: http://plus10damage.com/blog/2015/1/8/plus-10-damages-top-10-of-2014
Turns out I owe Sony and Aksys an apology for dissing them. If I'd have RTFM I would have known that there's a check box under the power menu that reads Use Touch Screen Pointer In Games that is turned off by default.

Well Happy Friday Pixlbit Nation! I see that we had a good week. I’m making progress in my backlog of blogs and comments on here, and I am done to one page now! So how is the New Year treating you? So far on my end, it’s not too bad. Since it is Friday and I have a lot to do today (not really it’s the start of my weekend) let’s get this Quick Hits started!
Italicized games are ones I have started. Bolded titles I've already completed.
Gonna rant a bit. My phone, a Galaxy SIII, has decided that it no longer wants to live. Truth be told, it's suicide wasn't entirely unexpected, as this is about the same age my wife's SIII was when it took its own life. Apparently Samsung provides every one of its phones with strict instructions to end its existence after 3 years along with the means to do so. My wife's phone died suddenly, so I imagine it had a little cyanide capsule that it bit into before she could recover all the information that she needed from it. Mine on the other hand, still powers on and shuts off randomly at this point, so I'm thinking it is surely deriving some sick pleasure at my frustration. I was planning on upgrading this year anyhow, as I dropped the phone and cracked the screen over a year ago, but I was hoping to wait until the new HTC One model was announced. Apparently my stupid sadistic phone has other ideas. Which brings me to my point.
This is actually the Year of the Goat starting in February, according to the Chinese Zodiac, but for me, it’s the Year of the Dragon because I’m reading a Dragon Magazine of the current month every month of 2015 and writing about anything of interest. So starting things off is Dragon 81 from January 1984.
If you want any of the special editions for Majora's Mask, go preordering them now. Once there gone, there gone. There also only preorderable online. Gamestop still is taking preorders on the 84 dollar one, not sure about the 50.
So, 2014 sucked ass for games – unless you're a Wii-U owner, to which I say: shut the fuck up you smug cunts, it took 2 years for your system to not be a waste of time. And the controller is still stupid and hurts my hands. But I still want one. But... fuck you, this is a metal blog!
2015 looks like a crazy good year with what we have announced so far. I'm sure something will get delayed, but on the other hand, I'm also sure Nintendo will announce three or four awesome games that will make up for them at E3. While there's a lot to enjoy, these five stand out head and shoulders from the rest of the pack in my mind.
